Hey guys, Recently I've been practicing a lot of Intention Manifestation, meditation, chakra work, and sending love / light (from a great book called Spiritual Growth by Sanaya Roman, who is channeling a guide named Orin).. Recently I've been getting some wierd physical feelings. Now I'm not too worried because they feel good, but I have to admit being a bit tentative. The feeling I'm referring to is a "minty" sort of feeling across my heart. It comes from inside and then spreads out...imagine someone rubbing peppermint across your heart inside and on the outside on your skin. It feels very good, especially since its nearly 40degs C here, and everywhere else on my body is hot and uncomfortable. The feeligns have been coming more since I started sending forgiveness and love to people that have hurt me. I felt much discomfort across the chest area as well as I started doing so, and after many days, I imagined a large pulse of love blowing through the discomfort and out into the universe to reach that person. And now these "blocks" are mostly gone, to be replaced by this minty feeling. Sometimes I also feel like I'm starting to float above myself, just an inch or so. More interestingly, I've been intending to manifest $20 million dollars. One night I had a dream, I can't remember the exact details, but I remember that I had to go buy the lottery, and this dream was accompanied by a way more intense minty feeling that covered my whole torso. I went to the shops in a few days (I was overseas at the time), and guess what I saw. A poster saying Jackpot $20 million. I bought a ticket straight away. When I first received an alpha reflection for my money intention, it was a feeling that I had to go and buy those scratchy cards, also from the same place you buy the lottery from. For those of you who don't have them, these scratchies are little game cards. You pay a certain amount for a card, scratch the surface and get little pictures underneath. If they match, you get a certain amount of cash. Each card has three games, giving you three chances to win. When I bought these cards, the shop keeper was amazed and told me he had never seen anyone win 2 games on one card before - and he's been running the shop for more then 10 years. Although I didn't win much, I took it as a great alpha reflection. I can't remember if I had that minty feeling during the alpha reflection as that was a while ago, nearly 2 months now, but I remember an overwhelming urge to go out and buy these things, and I have only ever bought them one other time in my life, like 10 years ago in my teens, just for fun. So just a post to help others - maybe they can compare experiences. But has anyone ever experienced minty feelings or others during mind / spiritual practices? |

They have actually shown that there are neurons in your heart (previously thought to be only in the head!). When you focus on love they activate and this can even be shown on tests. I've been at Tony Robbins seminars where he has people rub their hand in a circle above their heart and focus intensely on love and memories of love. It's just the most amazing exercise. A good lesson for life too. Thank you for sharing!! Sheryl |

I've not had the minty feeling - but recently, when I meditate, I sometimes experience a tingly or buzzing feeling. It has started in my hands and then it works its way into my arms and through the rest of my body. It's like my physical self disappears and I expand into infinity. If I open my eyes I can see my regular surroundings. But I keep them closed mostly so I don't lose the feeling. Would be great to be able to do this with eyes open, too. There is such a calm. Like some say, the peace that passes all understanding (or need to understand). After I come out of it the feeling stays with me for awhile. It's really great. So my intention is to be able to have this (or something better!) occur every time I meditate.

I have been getting that minty thing as well as a wild buzz in the back of my head - sometimes all around it. My perception itself has been different in many ways. I can *feel* the sunlight changing me. It's gorgeous.

Had that feeling all the time when I was in Hong Kong. The chinese people have more of a heart charkra. Americans have way less of a heart charkra and tones more of a top of the head chakra connection. I almost felt like the top of my head was blown off as soon as I stepped off the plane returning from abroad. I described it to my friends that Americans are cold, but really friendly, but asians are really warm, but seem more mean. It was a weirdest thing. |

Hello, I was meditating today and felt a very heavy feeling all around me, My hands were on my lap and wuth each breath, I felt a magnetic pull between my hands and stomach. I have felt this befor, but I'm not sure what it is. I believe it to be a gaurdian angels. I was able to hold onto this feeling for about 10 minutes, until my dog bark, then it slowly eased off. I was not scared, and to be honest, not too far into my meditation either, Questions is, has anyone ever experienced this heavy, think energy feeling on them and or around them, as if you were one? Thank you

Another thing that happens is that when I am meditating on an intention - and really feeling it intensly - I'll get the feeling that it is hard to breathe. If anyone can comment on this I would appreciate it. Actually not really hard to breathe - more like I want to stop breathing but I know that I shouldn't. I dunno - it's hard to describe - maybe someone else has it too. Last edited by gigij; 09-01-2009 at 04:57 PM. Reason: added something

Oh gosh, "minty?" Just the term makes me all giddy. I've been slacking off with meditations and can't remember the feelings I had with it, minty doesn't sound appropriate for all the ones I felt- But the idea still makes me all happy and smiley. I was hanging out with a group of people (+ a psychic and her reiki person relative) practicing sending energy around in a circle holding hands and people said it was cool and tingly for them as it was going along, so I was looking for that and didn't get it- But when I relaxed I felt heeeeat going through my hand. I don't know if that had to do with me sensing energy differently or with the person whose hand it was coming from having been staring at me all night and shyly trying to chat me up the few minutes before. I think with my heart I've only felt wonderful warmth and sometimes it feels sorta like it grows to be several feet in diameter. The odder sensations tend to be in my head- But maybe I just haven't been using it so much. Last edited by Zas; 09-02-2009 at 12:24 AM. |

I was wondering if I could get someones opinion about some feelings I get when meditating? I get two, once recently and another I've been getting for quite some time now. The first one is a tingling sensation across my whole body working it's way from my head to my feet. This happens every time I inhale deeply. This is a good feeling and I don't mind it at all. This is the more resent one. The second one is odd. It usually kicks in after about 10-15 minutes. It starts in my head, I get the feeling of me slowly leaving my body through the top of my head. I then (usually) looking down on myself loose all sense of proportional distance. My body seems extremely small and my mind feels infinite. And then it just keeps on growing and at an accelerating speed. At the point where I feel like I'm outside the space of my room I loose all control of it and it's quite hard to get back. The feeling stays with me a bit after the meditation. Now the really tricky thing with this is. It's not a bad feeling really, but it's slightly uncomfortable for two reasons. 1: I've ever only felt the same/ a similar feeling in my worst nightmare. It scared the living **** out of me when I had that nightmare (many years ago). But when I meditate I'm not really scared by it. 2: Is the fact that I'm loosing control. I can stop the meditation but as long I keep on going I keep expanding. I hope someone has any ideas about it. Light and love, //OAAN |

Yeah, I agree that it's likely your heart chakra. It's interesting to note that there's many different physical/energetic responses we get as confirmations from within from the universe in addition to outer synchronistic manifestations. Just living your life and following your excitement is a great way to start creating them and consciously taking note of your experiences through experimentation will help you learn the associations between a certain feeling, such as the minty feeling you described, and guidance from the universe. It may come in the form of tingles in particular parts of the body, radiating energy flooding your body, a series of taps, pressure in one or more of your chakras, a particular feeling arising, or so on. Like your intuition, it's something you have to investigate for yourself and explore through some simple experimentation. Congratulations on finding some of your pointers and taking action on your dreams! |
