Is life the ultimate game? It's quite funny how in this game of life we can't seem to remember who we were before we arrived on planet earth and we don't seem to know what happens afterward. It kind of make you realise that you have to make the most of life and enjoy it whilst you can. Be the very best you can be, do the very best you can do and have the very best you can have. Do you all think life is the ultimate game? No one is given the rules to this game. We all seem to figure it out as we go along. |
I guess you can certainly view it that way. Shakespeare might even have agreed with you - "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players..." If you see life as a game there are certainly more metaphors that you can apply to it, and better yet, not take it more seriously than you have to. e.g. It's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game that counts. :) |
You are unaware but you can become aware through meditation and soul-searching. Then you realise that this life that you are living now is not the only one you have lived or will live. But it's great if you try to become the best you can be, because then you will be joyous and that's what it's all about. |
Life is the ultimate game because of following: 1). Life has definite beginning and end. Counter has began with the start of first breath and heart beat. 2). Score in this game is the knowledge and understanding you have achieved through life experiences. 3). Life game levels changes according to that score. 4). Persons happiness and unhappiness tells wheather he/she is on the right track or not. 5). Life game is full of puzzles, traps, obstacles, surprises. More obstacles you have, more points you get. 6). Some people like Jesus, Ramana directly go to last level of the game by knowing who they are!.. there they start guiding others and tell them the beauty of last level. 7). Some people stays at one level throught their life game period, some degrade to the previous level too. prisons are made for such people. If they want they can have choice. 8). Biggest prize of life game is to know that 'Game was a dream. It was not real and the player who was playing the game was not there. He never participated in the game. He was always free.' |
Yes, I see it as a game although I'm not sure game is the right word here. The idea here is that you take control of your life. You are living (or playing out) your life instead of life (or the circumstances) living you. |

Deffenently ,I see everyone associating with a specific Role, funny and ironic thing is that since I now see life as the ultimate game I have more respect for the players involved , check out this song YouTube - Jon and Vangelis - State of Independence |
I sort of agree that its a game. as in we should play it as a game. But to also consider it more of a 'story'. My life has been 3 parts. 1st- story 2nd-game 3rd-life (both game and story) I find it hard to get stuff out my head, and didnt want to reply with a 30 page answer. So i hope im understood with this simple reply :) Think of story as FATE and game as EVOLUTION. |
There doesn't seem much point to life except as a form of entertainment. Given our infinite need for stimulation it seems appropriate to devise a game that is endless, has no manual and always filled with new adventures some of which will include war, disease, pain, and brutality. And even with the reality of our own personal experience we still seek more stimulation by doing such things as renting videos that portray the drama of life. We never get enough. I suspect that the whole point of three dimensional existence is to avert boredom. Of course everything I have said assumes we are infinite and solely responsible for existence itself. |
I would say that life is a Roleplaying Game. There's a player who had decided that it would be fun to play a character like me, so she drew up this incarnation and is playing this role. For some reason she decided that it would make sense to put a whole lot of character points into the skill "Memorize Song Lyric". I'm kind of hoping that will make sense somewhere down the road.... The Game Master is making things difficult because, frankly, otherwise it would be boring. But he's essentially on my side, and even if this character dies, "I" will get a new character sheet and start again. |
Do you all think life is the ultimate game? Nope I think there could be better games.. but the physical game is fun and with removal of some of the ideas of limitation and exploration of limitation.. very fun.. Imagine if you will exploring a story you read, a movie you like.. etc. imagine exploring it with the idea of "Connecticut Yankee in king aurthurs court" |

i. Games have rules that must be understood beforehand, ii. Games have officials whose word is final to make sure the participants stick to the prescribed rules of the game, iii. The participants/players know in advance that they are entering a game, iv. Those who do not adhere to the rules are punished, v. The match officials only enforce the rules of the game and do not make them, vi. Games have limited durations, vii. There is always time for rest and practice allocated. There is a purpose for us being here and once we find it out we will understand who we are and why we are here! Me thinks that the best place to begin the search should be superstition and not reason for am convinced reason is biased. |
