I think that's a natural part of yourself. You can't be taught how to be ambitous, however, you may get yourself to get motivated to achieve what's important to you. You can look at the successful people in your culture and imagine yourself in their position and see how that's affects you feelings. There are a lot of ways to discover yourself and your values. In other words, by knowing what you like, value, wish, you can get yourself motivated to move forward to reach it. |

Set a goal to do something a little bigger than you think you can do that excites you. Build plans to get there. Set a date. Then extend date a bit. Then before you go to bed. Do one thing towards your goal. The next day absolutely positively do one or more things to get you to your goal. Think about how you will feel and what your life would be like. Write for 1 hour in the morning thinking of 20 ways to achieve your goal every day (Earl Nightingale idea). Do this one thing. Do it daily. Make it a passion, dream about it. Make it something you HAVE to do. You can then do it. Then set your next goal after achieving it. |

Who said I wasn't? But seriously, its just I have a lack of enthusiasm to participate in this society Maybe my question should have been "How does one participate enthusiastically in this society"

If you don't have a reason, well you can always make one up or use a particular frame of thought/theme to concentrate on which, gives participation in society as a by product.

That fact that you seek to be ambitious is in itself ambition. I think what you are looking for is drive. Ambition is a desire, drive makes you go after it. If you want drive then feed your ambition. If you want something bad enough, you will have the drive. |

Have you considered what it is that you don’t want? Knowing what you don’t want is a surefire way to “discovering” what it is that you do want.
