Default removing negative energy from the home.

so, basically today I cut my soul-tie with my ex-boyfriend and decided that I no longer want to wait on him, seeing as I don't really have feelings for him anymore (realized my feelings were a dependence, got over that.). i had all his belongings packed and in my closet, but today moved them to another closet that's not near my room. i threw all the notes and pictures away, too, but i still feel so congested with memories in here.

so, how do i remove that energy from my room? i guess it's not neccessarily negative, but it's just something that's bugging me.. i can like feel his presence still, a little, and i just want to purify my room and make it mine again with great, positive energy like i have!

thanks!

get this things as far away as possible.

buy some sage and smudge the room.

fill the empty space with new things of your own that make you feel good.

Roxyness,

The solution in my opinion is rather simple. Simply forgive.

Lots of cleaning and lots of leaving your window open and lots of incense.
I had experience of this and this is what works for me.

I get the urge every so often to clear the space in my home - I clear stuff out and clean, then I burn an incense I enjoy, and carry it from room to room. I make sure to wave the incense stick in the corners of each room. I always feel better after doing that, even if I only take time to do the incense part, and not the cleaning part! I have also clapped my hands in every corner of every room in the house - that seems to get the energy moving. I have never done an entire space clearing, like I read about in Karen Kingston's book, but I can feel how beneficial that could be.

I think that this is a very healthy thing for you to do energetically, as well as emotionally to provide closure. Alot of great advice has been given here such as burning sage, incense and/or candles scented with essential oils. You can also place crystals around your room such as quartz, rose quartz or celestite, and place a small bowl of sea salt in your room or closet to absorb negative energies. Probably the most important thing of all while you are doing these things is your intent, you can make it be a very positive and effective ritual with your thoughts as well as your actions.

It seems that you are 'symbolically' starting afresh, which seems very positive. Perhaps posting on the Forum was a very positive thing to do. as you've created a 'pemanent written commitment' to your decision.

It seems, on the face of it, a positive decision, but (like everything else on the forums), one cannot be absolutely sure -

I have a friend who is going though trauma with her partner, and will possibly finish - She says she will, but she hasn't completely finished it yet!

The problem is, without her boyfriend, she feels empty, and is already looking at future prospective partners!

My feeling is that it is easy to make the same mistake again and again, and if you are standing back, happy, living in the present, then it is possible to move on, but if you feel a strong emotional need to replace your boyfriend, then it will be harder to move on -

But I'm only guessing - It's difficult over the internet!!
