The Power Part II

The indefatigable spirit of Man. The power I have spoken of. It something we must not ignore. Each day countless people – billions – wake and do nothing. They go to jobs they cannot bear, and suffer husbands and wives that suck the fun and joy and true beauty of life, from them. Subverted by the soothing glow of television, radio and the newspapers, they consider it normal to feel as they do.

We who know there is more are often ridiculed in our youth for being naïve, avoided in our adulthood for being eccentric, and silently mocked in our old age for our senility. We have to stand and take back what is by sheer merit, our own. Too long have we oppressed within ourselves our true hopes and fears, our loves and our hates. Our petty compulsions take precedence over elevated purposes because we are taught to fear hard work, and to revere the laziness that so many languish in.

How many do you know in your life that can truly Know Themselves? Can they look in the mirror, stare that bastard in the face and say definitely, “Yes, that is me. I am Me.”

We are spread out across the world, and call ourselves so many different things. Activists, atheists, agnostics, metaphysicians, philosophers, by no means should these names be interchangeable, I am merely saying that a majority are these and many more too numerous to list. We are divided, spread out and as such largely powerless on a global scale.

It is time that we raise ourselves above the pallid mediocrity of the majority. Not out of hate or disdain, but out of love, love for them, love for ourselves, and love for life. If we can inject love into the governments, into the churches, into the hearts and souls of the citizens of each nation of Earth imagine. Imagine what even a few thousand, highly focussed, highly conscious individuals could do if seated in government?

Of course this is pure idealism. I don’t think such a thing could ever happen – nor will – but think what each of us could do to bring a real change to the world.

Your power is your own, and it is Power. It is your Godhood and your birthright. People will try and take it, but don’t let them, never let them. Stand as an obelisk, obscure the light of ignorance, and cast a shadow of undeniable truth, love and power (thank you Steve), and don’t ever forget that there is nothing more sad than someone who has forsaken their power.
