I am reading Night by Elie Wiesel for school. I'm not far yet, but already it has got me thinking. I wonder if Moishe the Beadle was saved by God for the purpose of warning the Jews. I also wonder if God had sent Mrs. Schachter a vision of the crematorium at Birkenau (what are the other possibilites?). If you have read the book (or are aware of Wiesel's story at least), I am interested in hearing your interpretation, monotheistic or otherwise.

I read the book a great amount of time ago Jared. It is truly a moving story and perhaps that is the purpose of the book. I can't be sure of happenings, only the effects. But then again, does anything else matter?

I lived in a dorm a couple years back and there was a drug dealer/coc-head kid that lived down the hallway. He said something however that astonished me and may help you, "Stop asking questions and just enjoy the answers." Of course this was out of context and wasn't spiritual in the sense he said it, but it's a profound mantra.

Sorry for straying from your question but I can't quite remember the details of the book.
