New Year Poem

A simple early
Morning Prayer
With every breath
I’m more aware

Of taking in
And letting go
Of what I can
And can’t control

Of living fully
From my heart
Accepting things
For what they are

Embracing all
And judging none
Forgiving each
And everyone

Of choosing love
While still afraid
Of letting laughter
Ease the way
