Default Meditation CD Recommendations

Hi,

I have been using Centerpointe CDs on and off for a while as an addition to regular mediation but would like to ask if anyone has had any good experiences with any other meditation CDs.? If so, care to share?

Cheers,

Eisho

I'd recommend the guided meditations from the Monroe Institute. They are truly fantastic.

My favorite has got to be the Gateway Voyage series. Every time I go through it, profound changes happen in my life within the next month or so. I use it as a catalyst whenever my life seems to stagnate and it seems to catapult me to the next level. I am able to think clearer and guide my life much more effectively. Plus, synchronicities seem to occur much more frequently, putting that zest & purpose back into me.

How this works, I'm not sure -- but it works. Give it a try.

Cheers.

I've used similar cds too, like Ultra Meditation. It's just binaural beats (like Centerpointe and Gateway) that drives your mind into a deep theta and alpha state, but it puts your mind in altered state very quickly. And you can do a lot of exploring in those states.

I've had some my best experiences when I started choosing specific goals I wanted to achieve and using these types of cd's during meditation to focus on them.

For example, if I wanted to have a lucid dream, I would specifically choose that goal and then spend time listening to the cd in a theta state focusing on that goal. I found that my mind was quicker to respond to specific goals and requests.

I also practiced staying alert for longer and longer periods of time in a delta state, which helped alot for lucid dreaming, and exploring different states of consciousness. Gateway's Voyages may even be more effective because it also comes with a plan for specifically expanding your consciouness...

For another which I haven't had experience with, is Tibetan bells which doesn't use binaural beats, but is said to drive the mind into trance-like states using sounds from ancient instruments used by tibetan monks.

It is also claimed that the users commonly reported being able to see 'auras' and 'energy fields' after frequent use...

I was going to recommend anything from The Monroe Institute as well. I went to Gateway Voyage residential program... and keep thinking about getting the full CD set at some point.

As it stands, I have a few CDs here and there which I like to use from TMI.

I used Hemisync, Holosync and the Gamma meditations some years back and enjoyed them very much. I'm presently using meditation mastery by life mastery guilds which is my favorite. It's focus is on higher self connection. I don't like to use the phrase "life changing" too much, but I'd have to say that it's made a profound impact on my life.

Hello everyone,

Eisho I don't mean to hijack your thread.

However I do have a question about the Centerpointe/Holosync CD's. How can one use the CD's for IM purposes?

Thank you.

I tried Centerpointe as well, but was not happy with it. Then I tried lifeflow and it completely blew me away. I think their web-site is project-meditation.com (not sure though, so just google "lifeflow meditation to be sure).

They offer a free download of a 14 minute meditation - it is in my opinion, mindblowing. I got results starting with the first time I listened to it - highly recommended.
