 |  Spiritual Significance of Man-made "life"
So, I ran across this article and it got me to wondering: If Man can create a heretofore non-existant life form capable of reproducing and genetically evolving, what are the spiritual implications of this? Will this new life form have a "soul"? Will the Universe imbue this creation of Man with its own spirit or will this new beastie actually have some of "our" spirit in it? Or will this creation simply be some kind of bio-genetic machine with little or no spirit to speak of? If the last, what would that actually mean to the cosmologic belief systems of those who state that EVERYTHING has Spirit? Hmmmm...... |
