Default ego will, ego/divine alignment, all is divine?

Which of these models make sense to believe, for you? Did I leave out an option?

1) We have free will and it's only our ego self that exists. There is no greater will that we can reach. We are only a bunch of molecules that just happen to give rise to consciousness.

2) We have our own free will in our ego, and there exists a divine will and our mission is to align our will with the divine will. We feel separate from the divine all our lives and only am able to get closer and closer to the divine will. But we can't get closer to the divine will by using our ego will.

3) The only will that exists is divine will. All that is right now is perfect and whole. Our sense of ego will is really divine will (even all the "ugly" stuff). There is no separation from divine will ever, since divine will wanted to feel individuality through us. Free will doesn't exist - only the divine plan that is exactly perfect all the time. All our choices are pre-determined and we are playing a plan out that we signed up for and agreed to during this incarnation.

Hmmm I voted 2 but just realized I don't quite agree with that. I believe we can get closer to the divine will by using our ego will. I think ego will confuses the whole thing. In fact I'm not sure I believe that ego has anything to do with free will.

Just my 2c.

Depends on how you define "ego" and "align." 2 is relatively close to my view, but even it smacks a bit too much of removing individuality for my taste, and 3 denies free will, which is pretty much a deal-breaker for me.

I voted for no 3. I don't know that I'd agree with everything stated in it, but no 3 would be the closest to what I believe is ultimately true.

Ego is that part of us that identifies with something that isn't our true essence. Such as one identifying with gender, physical body, objects, possessions, etc. Its this ego mind and way of thinking that most people are ruled or controlled by. Just take a look at the news or the behavior of our politicians and you will see where the ego mind is in control. Enlightenment, reconnecting with the divine essence requires one to be aware of one's ego mind and to learn to control it. If you are interested, I wrote about this in "Mind And Ego" at Mind And Ego| Ocean Of Perspectives

I'm sorry but, I didn't feel any of the choices in the poll truly applied.

I agree with this except for the idea that free will doesn't exist. However, I can concede free will is a variable. The variable hinges on awareness of possibilities. Therefore, the less aware you are the less free will you have. If you manage to raise your consciousness, your free will increases as your awareness of new possibilities increases.

Individuality, or separation, is part of the divine because the divine is the reservoir of all awareness -- all varieties of awareness -- all forms of consciousness or knowingness. This includes awareness of growth. We are the awareness of growth. Our reality is a result of that manifest knowingness of the divine.
