Default Invictus by William Ernest Henley

Famous poem indeed, even more inspiring last lines ...

I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul

But in your view do you think the lines is spiritual truth or more ego-control kind of thing ???

Thanks

I love this poem. For me, its spiritual. It speaks to the eternal in us, to that which is "Us", and is unconquerable. So beautiful.. it brings out the courage and strength of the human soul.

"Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul."
