Default Protecting Yourself From Abundance

Recently, upon consideration of the topics of money and abundance, I realized that my poor financial situation has actually been created by me for my benefit in order to protect myself from abundance.

Why?

My higher self knows I would be a poor steward of true abundance. I am sure when the times arrives where I will make a responsible steward and servant of the greater good - I will allow myself to experience abundance.

This was an important realization. Neither the Universe, the world or another person are responsible for my situation. It is me doing the best for me, even if I am not conscious of that fact.

and I suspect that the consequences of that realisation will just keep on rolling

wow... isn't it funny how some of the most important and valuable realisations can be so... (I started typing that sentence and realised I know what I mean but can't find the right word... something about being embedded in the mundane rather than great mystical hoozah illuminations)

in light and love

Doesn't it sounds similar to the Lightworker Syndrome that Steve recently posted? Where people are actually afraid of becoming successful.

Just a similar concept I thought. May be wrong

But if it really is, maybe you could experience abundance faster (if that's one of your unstated intention)

Let us hope that the consequences keep rolling.

I see no reason why they should not. :-)

"In light and love" - This is beautiful. Thank you!

I was in a similar situation for a while as well. What helped me get past it was seeing what Bill Gates and Warren Buffet decided to do with their billions -- i.e. give most of it away.

I figured that if I became financially wealthy, the worst case scenario is that I could give a lot of money to charity. The best case might be that I could consciously direct the money towards projects that would help people. Bill Gates is doing the latter by deciding to leave Microsoft and run his foundation full time. Warren Buffet is doing the former by pledging money to the Gates Foundation and letting Bill G manage the details.

Either way the idea is to ensure that the stewardship of your wealth is in good hands, whether they be your own or someone else's. Once you trust that you can make this happen, it makes a lot more sense to put some effort into generating wealth as part of your legacy to the world.

Well, Dating Specialist, Lightworker Syndrome has been my disease of choice in this lifetime, no doubt. Still, I feel lucky as the end of that saga ends. I have the feeling I've been "simmering" while somehow gathering my energies for some time now, as the Universe prepared me for my purpose. I can't help but feel like a rocket approaching the final moments of countdown before takeoff. The realization concerning has simply been another step in that direction.

For me nothing changes with this realization. In fact, perhaps my wish to be deserving of and do justice to the abundance in my life has grown stronger. I am so thankful to myself for doing the best for me. I could cry! :-)

Thank you, Steve, for replying. I can't help but be touched at your honesty and generosity. Already the simple comfirmation that you went through the same is helpful, but thank you thank you thank you for offering hints toward the next step.

That's very noble of you. I recommend reading "Meaning of 21st Century - A Blueprint for Ensuring our Future."

Highschool reform / mental hospital reform is also a great thing to think about. Is a system of conformity the best way to get an education? Could a lot of people be set back in high school because of that? I am sure you are already considering things like this.

Isn't it amazing how we always get what we need?

When we fear abundance, that belief gets mirrored to us so we can see it. For some, they may get all kinds of abundance to help bring up the fears. Others may get a lack, to help show them their thinking.

How amazing this creation is.
