| I'm interested in most forms of spiritual practice but I feel most at home with buddhism. Having lived in various buddhist monasteries, I notice certain differences between soto and rinzai. What form of zen is most popular where you live and which school do you resonate with? Meditating In Japan |

| I think Zen is pretty split between the major 2 scools in my area, but I resonate more with Bankei Zen. If you search on Amazon, I think there are only two books published - one called The Unborn and the other Bankei Zen. Also old Chinese Zen resonates, like the Zen Teachings of Huang Po.
