Spirit Guides, Chanelling ,manifesting

I have watched some chanelling videos on you tube and until I saw them I had felt impressed by the idea. It all makes great reading but the reality on the other hand looks really bad. The voice of the entity nothing short of STRANGE. Does anybody know where I might access a chanelling video that is not reminiscent of a horror movie? I know entities might come from far off but does that mean they really have to sound so far out? I am also interested in Spirit Guides. Any takers on this subject, I would be keen to know.

thought i would reply to myself as i hate seeing nobody responding every time i look at the forum. maybe its rude my post? i re worded it to try to make it more appealing. nae luck as we say in glasgow. thing is i dont know how to take it out so until a monitor or somebody does at least i will see one reply and allow myself to breathe easy. thanks all 763 of you who have read it and found it worthy of not a jot or a tittle. lang may yer lum reek. and may the wind be always at your back etc.

As a sometimes channeler myself, I would have to say that the energy of the entity coming through often does sound different coming through my vocal cords. If I am consciously channeling, I can control it but that is sort of filtering the energy and therefore not being as pure of a channel as possible.

I am curious which channelers you saw online? I think that Esther Hicks who channels Abraham is pretty normal sounding, although a bit fast talking.

I know some channels and they sound mostly like themselves when they channel. No funny accents or anything. The delivery is different when they are channeling though. I notice this in myself too. The flow of the words is noticeably different and some words are accentuated differently than when I'm having a normal conversation with someone.

I have a personality freind/non physical, called arron who I have been talkng to and 'he' has been talking through me (chanelling) for about 10 years now and when this first happened the voice that I used when he spoke was very different, however over time as the relationship grew and I understood what was happening more the voice changed and now similar to my own.

when arron is speaking through me though the 'feeling' is very different to my own speech, the words he uses and the tone of voice is very different inside myself. The key understanding for me was that the information arron was saying was not really said in words as such, but in thoughts, the more i relaxed the more i was able to translate 'arrons' ideas into english speech.

it became obvious that the 'channel' translates the information and the tone of the personality through their own ideas and beleifs. If one beleives that a personality is 'powerful' they may translate those beleifs into a 'strong/loud' voice when chaneling for example. so the important idea to understand is the channel is a translator of another personalities ideas, emotions,tone and will translate that personality in light of their own beleifs and ideas.

The best channels, in my own experience, are those that relax and give themselves over to the process, removing their own ideas about the personality who is speaking through them, creating a clearer 'channel' for information to come through.

Thanks for getting back to me. The one i saw most of was Seth chanelling. I read the book on the nature of human reality some years ago and it has always stayed with me . Not the book itself, I gave it to someone for their birthday , but the profound insights it offered, I found videos of the chaneller on you tube and wondered why she sounded like that. I guess its as you say the use of the chanellers vocal chords, but I did find it alarming and still do not like the sounds the chaneller makes. Another one I saw was really just downright silly. The chaneller sounded like a barbie doll although what she spoke of made sense. I guess its a strange phenomenon The reason I put out the thread is that I felt drawn to it myself but when I saw it quickly did a u turn. I would like to visit one myself but I have not come accross one in Scotland. I will check out the person you suggest. For me it would be better to hear a normal sort of voice,but as i say, thanks both for getting back to me on it. Its good to hear what you had to say especially since you both are chanellers.

Jane Roberts (the Seth Channeler) was the one who first got me interested in channeling. The quality of information in the Seth Material is phenomenal. That was about 10 years ago that I read all of their books and loved them. It was only last year that I saw Jane Roberts actually channeling on You Tube. I have to say that I had the same reaction as you. It was pretty bizarre. Yet because I had already read and trusted the material so much, I know that she is authentic.

Jane Roberts was one of the few trance channels who fully left her body when she channeled. Fully leaving her body and allowing Seth's energy to come in is one of the reasons her speech and behavior became so affected. Most channelers nowadays do conscious channeling (they do not leave their bodies, they just tune in to the channeled entity.) Conscious channeling allows for more control over your voice and speech, yet is also more possible to be filtered by our own stuff. So both methods have their benefits. Also, the way that entity sounds will depend on who is being channeled.
