Lightbulb A Profound Quote

I used to read many books authored by Rudolf Steiner - the founder of Anthroposophy. I even spent 2-3 years practicing his meditations.

There is one sentence from one of his books that still lingers in my mind - a string of words about what's important in life...

"Learn to value truth and reality over appearance and opinion"

What's your take on that?

Truth and reality are very important to yourself. But remember that the average joe of todays world doesn't want truth and reality, not all at once. They want to be eased into it nicely...in which case discretion and little bit of deceit is always good

Absolutely I think that phrase is worth keeping in mind.

I have to constantly take layer after layer of sunglasses off in order to see clearer and more directly.

While a nice phrase on it's own, what is more important is how to do it.
