philosophy is a sick joke

I'm into the "who cares" argument.

Christian: God exists.

Scientist: The big bang, blah blah blah.

Me: who cares?


It's not like I'm not curious, it's just that "who cares" is such a good solution sometimes. Occam's razor and all that.

Anyway I love post-truthism I nearly drove myself nuts trying to find "the" truth, but when you ask where that thinking's getting you you can mellow out a bit and see that truth is only what you make of it.

In all honesty, God is the only thing I have always been certain of. The very fact that I am alive and this worst exists is all the certainty I *personally* need. Sure, I have definitely had times of doubt and resentment toward God. I must say, however, that in those times when I did indeed reject God’s existence, it was disturbing to believe that this life was all there was, and even more disturbing to believe that human beings had all the answers.

I do believe that anytime we place anything above God in our priorities, we make it our god, and I fell victim to this many, many times over many, many years. I truly believe that the reason why I can only be fulfilled by God is because He is the one who actually created me, and because He is perfect in every sense of the word. Nothing in this life is perfect, so everything else I chase after other than God only leaves me with an ephemeral happiness. That’s not to say that I am completely happy—it’s just that I have my sights and hopes set on the time when I will be completely happy—when I return to God, my Creator.
