Plato is on a distinguished road
Default Need help

I think I'm ready to begin polarising to lightworker but I'm lost on where to begin... Actually I have begun focussing on feeling empathy for others -- something I had intentionally blocked until now -- and that is a start.

But to anybody who has been through this, what did you do to polarise and how did you overcome the temptation to feel desire and hatred?

Plato -- look to your heart, and ask for guidance from the most high. Guidance will come to you.

There are many paths, a different path for each of us. If you can live with integrity and honor; and follow your path with heart, you will surely find your way.

Blessings from Belle,

Hmmmm; well I did a lot of work with ACIM and Joel Goldsmith. Now I'm working with the Sedona method. These are three wonderful paths -- there are many more out there. The thing about desire is that desire is a belief that you are in WANT. As long as you believe you want, you will desire. It is when you find yourself, that you begin to surpass desire. When you find the love within you, the beingness within you, the joy within you, you find there is nothing more out there to WANT, because you have it all. In resting in the energy of 'having' you find the door is open to experiencing the 'having' of all your goals. When you are coming from 'want' you get more 'wanting'.

I like the Sedona method very much for addressing this issue. I'm working through the course now, and it has been lovely.

And what about hatred? Well, if you wake up from your ego, and find yourself to be an eternal being, eternally one with all that is, hatred starts being infeasible. How can you hate yourself? (and yet so many of us do just that thing.) If you are a body, than hatred and anger is inevitable. If you find your connection with that aspect of you, that avenue of awareness that is spirit, light and eternal and is within this moment enjoying a body perspective experience; anger and hatred are no longer something you cultivate. Because where do they get you? Nowhere that even makes sense.

I'm not so keen on the 'lightworker' 'darkworker' labels. I do know that there is another way of looking at the world, and our experience from a body perspective that is kind, and loving and harmless and joyous. If we are a spirit, eternal and deathless, one with others, living in the neverending now -- this perspective is soooo different from being merely a body which can experience lack and limitation, can be hurt, dies eventually, can experience loss. . . . the body perspective focuses on desires and tries to gain temporary security, approval, etc., etc., etc., whereas the spirit finds it needs none of that. (Although it is amazing, when needs go away, you open the space to experiencing 'having'.)

Anyway, I'm not sure that all is helpful. There are many paths to where you want to go. If you resonate to the path that Steve speaks of, perhaps you should email him, and see if he can provide some input and suggestions.

I'm sure your path will be lovely. Blessings to you from Belle,

bellemeadows said it beautifully....one thing that I would add that has been helpful for me is to watch desire come and go without trying to get rid of them. Most desires and negative emotions will disolve upon repeated observation.
