Arrow Does geographical state influence state of mind?

Relationships, jobs, 280k loss, mother, ex-boyfriend, good friend's death - well, you got the picture. EVERY TIME I MOVE TO THIS STATE - IT ALWAYS INVOLVES LOSS AND GRIEF which inevitably makes me negatively attract more.

I know that we create our realities, however, in other states I've lived in, I didn't find the struggle, effort, etc. I always felt here - never felt connected with it and have lost so much - an astrologer told me I was in wrong state - no "s**t"! Years ago, while in CA, everything, it seemed went my way, was effortless, I was lucky - maybe it was simply because I liked it there.

Do you all think that the geographical area one is in influences your luck or well being - or the exact opposite: loss, illness, disconnection, etc.

Leaving nothing/noone behind, just remorse, regrets, broken heart/self, bad, very bad memories - am moving back to my magical state nine hours from here - I already feel alive just by thinking of it. I wonder why I came here to die, leave with hardly nothing but my car and "life", only to return where I began - akin to going off to war and encountering atrocities then coming back scared, but, will heal - if I remain in this land of the loss - I'll never heal and will will myself to die as I was beginning to.

Any comments aside from my, Woo HOOOOO! I'm finally outta here!!!!!

Experience, geographical location and emotion are states of mind. You can't separate them. What you experience, where you are, is made from habits of choice.

Default Geomancy: Geographical State is not state of mind

Hello,

While, I agree you can never escape yourself and always bring your emotion, experiences, inherited qualities, problems and "illusions" where ever you go...there are more factors to consider than just your "state of mind". Everything has energy, why not a geographical place? How you feel about a geographical location is quite different from its existing inherent energy.

While living in Germany...long ago, a psychic told me that Germany's earth energy was not good for me. I would definitely agree as it brought out a part of me I didn't like which prompted serious study about my own energy in an effort to understand and heal my darker side.

A really good example I like to use is the Italian movie "Life is Beautiful” about a father and his child in concentration camp awaiting execution. The father refuses to mar his child with the “reality” of the Nazi’s intentions and tells him the camp is a big game where you can win a real army tank. He puts on funny skits in front of the officers to keep his son laughing and sane. The father is eventually executed, the child survives is reunited with his mother, unmarred by the experience.
**What the father did was triumph in a horrific situation but he couldn’t prevent the reality of other energetic forces no matter how strong or positive his state of mind was.

I went on a trip to Croatia, in Istria, in the guide books it talks about the positive energy of the area, where many alternative healing seminars were starting to take place as a result. The area has the greatest concentration of "conscientious objectors" in the warring history of former Yugoslavia.

Presently in Korea, where I make frequent overnight visits at a Buddhist temple and am in agreement with others the energy there is distinctly powerful and positive. I recently took a job offer to be close to this energy and study at the temple.

I read that Hitler was quite interested in Geomancy. Here's an excerpt from Mary Sutherland's Upcoming Book, 'In Search of the Mound Builders'

"The forces of nature do not discriminate. He who has the knowledge, hold the power, whether it be of the dark side or light. On its darker side we have Adolph Hitler. For his Aryan Race Master Plan, Hitler researched folk customs and geomancy; first to learn more about their Aryan forefathers and later to control Europe geomantically.

Hitler established the German Ancestral Heritage Organization, to study the spirit of the people, the land of the Nordic Indo-Germanic (Aryan) race inhabited and to get other Germans involved in its study. Wilhelm Teudt, head of the organization worked closely with Heinrich, head of the dreaded Nazi SS. Teudt visited Himmier at Wewelsburg, the SS’s Grail Castle in Saxony. The circular Nordturm (North Tower) of this geomantically designed triangular castle was said to be ‘the center of the earth’. It was built to support the Nazi Aryan race doctrines.

Himmler, Albert Speer, Hitler’s architect and other Nazis experimented with geomancy throughout Europe in an attempt to control that part of the world. The Fuhrerhauptquartier Wolfsschanze, Hitler’s main headquarters , was intentionally constructed on an ancient holy power well.

One example of the Nazi’s belief in geomancy happened during the German rush to take Moscow. At one point, a detachment of mountain troops were diverted to place the Nazi flag on top of a strategically unimportant mountain, Mt. Elbruz. But for the Nazis, this mountain was very important. The Persians, Aryan stock, believed that Mt. Elbruz was a world mountain, center of the Earth Energies. Himmler was convinced that if the Nazi swastika controlled Elbruz, they could better control the Russians.

Default short reply

I just wanted to say I've been in your shoes and feel compassion...I, too, gave up everything to be in an environment I thought was the right place, but deceided not to go back where I started from and ended up in a few different places. Now, after four years of doing this I feel I'm in the right place..at least for awhile.

I believe in Astrocartography and in the idea that where you live on the earth affects your natal chart.

For instance, I will probably never set foot in Colorado ever again. Five weeks of constant illness and disease. I had fun despite my bad experiences but it was all I could do to get home alive.

Connecticut, my home state, was ok because it was all I had experienced until I moved. But since I have left, I know it's probably not the best place for me. NC felt like home the minute I got here, apartment shopping for a future move. It was a definite difference in my whole soul/self and I had only been off the plane for an hour. I have better friend aspects here but not as good work aspects. I seem to have bad "legal" aspects here. I've never needed a lawyer until I moved here and now I have five.

This sounds like a fascinating topic! I wonder where the ideal place would be for me?

A psychic, Gary Spivey, once referred to Nashville as a very spiritual city. Later, I was talking to a Native American co-worker whose passion was playing Native American Indian music. He had the opportunity to perform at the Ryman Auditorium. He described how he felt all the energy, the “power of the Ryman.”

Recently I was talking to a neighbor who had a bad experience in New Orleans. As soon as he set foot there, he felt like he had been there before [in a past life]. He has a strong aversion to that city and refuses to go there again.

I have that feeling about upstate NY. I get extremely bad vibes there while NYC is fine for me.

I haven't found a good astrocartographer since I moved. My mom knew one but that was years ago. Even Llewellyn doesn't have one which surprised me.

Interesting thread. I have lived in Hawaii, Boston, Seattle, Houston, Guadalajara, LA and now San Francisco area. I have always wondered about the West Coast/East Coast thing.

Are East Coasters a little more brusque and forward because of the European influence or because of the colder harsher winters? Are West Coasters more laid back because of the Asian influence or the warmer milder weather? Or does the energy of these areas influence the cultures? Or perhaps all of the above?

I have been in California now for less than a year and it feels really right for me. There are definitely some places for each person that feel like you're in the flow and others that feel like you're moving upstream.
