I just received an email about Genpo Roshi coming to speak in NYC in June. Genpo is an American Zen Master. He has a bunch of videos on YouTube that people may find intriguing. |

I'm a Zen master too. You can see me for $15000, I'd be suspicious of cheap enlightenment if I were you. |

Looks like there are several ways of learning from this fellow, not all of which involve spending any or much money. There's nothing wrong with being paid for value provided. Uberinquisitive, what piqued your interest about this guy? |

Why not just go to you tube and have a look. There you'll find a whole seminar split into about eleven separate videos, for easy access and to overcome you tube's length restrictions. He demonstrates his technique for getting past the ego by asking for it's cooperation in the process. He got the idea whilst studying psychology. It's innovative showmanship. You would be far wiser to ask yourself the questions.

| Because I'm more interested in the moment at Uberinquisitive, and what is happening for her about Master Genpo -- not so much about Master Genpo himself.

Genpo Roshi's Big Mind process is great, I really recommend it. Do the full process on the dozen or so videos on their Youtube channel when you have an hour or two to fully devote to this work. You might just get some amazing results. |

| Well, I read that this Zen Master is well-versed in psychotherapy and Zen. Also, he has a technique to help people, within 3 hours, taste the "big heart big mind" feelings that Zen is supposed to help one reach. I went through the 11 Big Heart videos on YouTube - and I found them quite helpful in psychological ways. It didn't add much to my spiritual feelings (Eckhart Tolle's webinars with Oprah resonates much more with me). But for those who suffer from a wounded inner child and co-dependence - I highly recommend going through the process. |
