A question to those who converse with God... How does God speak to you? do you define the voice of God by a scripture coming to mind? or do you describe the voice of God by knowledge you may have recieved about a particular issue or problem or crisis... Have you had experiences where the voice was profound or a gentle knowing just curious as to how your own personal experiences with God.. thoughts anyone ?

I think God is everywhere. He is in me, in the trees outside, in my gameboy, in my stapler. God communicates to me through what I see in the world. As for direct communication I have never "heard" god in the conventional sense. But, I feel something is right I think this is god speaking to me. I also have prayed and got comfort v.quickly after. In some case, it does feel like god isn't listening, but i hope there must be a reason for this although i don't see it yet. I have never had a premonition from god - but i have felt a situation is not right and not known why and it's turned out to be bad.

I have a very personal relationship to God. He speaks to me directly in a very casual and comfortable way. It's no different than if you or I were sitting at a corner cafe over a cup of coffee. He challenges me, he teaches me, he supports me... I keep saying "he" because that is how I experience him. That's just an artifact for my benefit though. The thing that always amazes me - and I guess it shouldn't but to actuall experience it is always humbling - is how completely non-judgemental God is about us. Nothing but pure love. Even when we don't do something we're supposed to, there's never any kind of recrimination, just this sort of, "...ok...whenever you're ready. We'll take it from there," attitude. Sorry.. digressed: God speaks to me in simple, conversational words.
