from that blog you posted:
Quote:
Your Goodness Is Not God's Focus
Posted by George Maitland at 9/20/2007 7:43 AM and is filed under uncategorized
It is not your goodness that God is looking for! It is not your faithfulness that God expects from you! It is that you rely on His faithfulness and goodness!

Father, judge us today according to your righteousness in Christ! Amen!

Just throw your dead works out the window, they do not please God and they never will. He is pleased only by His own works in His Son Jesus Christ. If you have Him, you are pleasing to God.

Dont stress today try to get the blessings of God. Rather, follow the peace of the goodnews that you have received, and know that the gospel of peace is the Blessing of God. Jesus said, "Peace (My Wholeness) I bequeath to you, my own peace, the Peace that I live by." You Have His peace; now that you know that He is the only provision that God receives. Live in it!!

God Himself paid the price for your Peace (wholeness) stop paying on a debt that is not only paid but is over paid with the blood of Jesus.

Just rest in the truth that your Father has provided wholeness today Just keep the Peace in your heart by having faith in His work.

THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM, THE PEACE OF ZION, IS THE PEACE OF JESUS CHRIST. Amen!!

IN HIM,
I don't even get what they are trying to say. It needs decoding.

I assume the quote wants to say that nobody can be righteous before good trough good works - so they are hollow and empty. Being clean in Gods eyes comes only through the suffering and resurrection of Jesus - I think that sums it pretty much up, so nothing new under the christian sun.

Although I find this perspective taken as far as in this post rather anti-biblical... how was that, believe without works is dead?

Did you mean to write: "nobody can be righteous before God through good works"? Then I can see that as if you sit around doing what a religion tells you to do, that is an outer path that will not get you to heaven.

yeah, nothing new and something I never could understand. Jesus's suffering is able to clean us up? He was killed for saying that religion has gotten off the path. Jews thought he was being blasphemous. Jesus understood what the Jewish religion really meant more that the really religious Jews that wanted to kill him. It is that there is the path that anyone can take on their own without needing a conduit. The kingdom of God is within.

Wolfgang, there is a biblical quote that states that faith without works is dead, so if the author of the quote above is trying to express a christian viewpoint based on the bible, he wouldn't really hit the point, would he?

Default thanks

Thank you for good site wolfgang. It is really valuable for me.
I think that my biggest problem is that I'm too open-minded and I accept nearly everything as the truth. Well, maybe it is good thing to some extent.
