I am getting attuned this weekend

Hi,

I am getting a level 1 Reiki attunement this weekend. For all those who experienced this I will like to know how healed and also how had you helped others.

Wow - that first attunement! So exciting.

I can't say that the attunement itself was healing for me on a conscious level. I'm sure some things were getting rearranged though! It took me several months to incorporate what I received from that attunement into my life (which is hard to put into words), so I'm glad my second attunement wasn't until 6 months later. I definitely felt trippy for a while afterwards, like I had ingested mild hallucinogens - not a bad feeling at all! That only lasted a few hours, though.

The way that reiki has presented in my life, is that when I give someone reiki, I usually pick up things about them, things going on in their lives, etc. It definitely opened my intuition more. I love reiki!

I've done the Reiki first level attunement as well. I did feel a bit different afterwards and my hands always seemed "warmer" from then on. I'm guessing it's from the healing energy that you are supposed to have. I really want to take it to the next level, I just have been kind of slacking lately. I have the whole Reiki DVD set that includes several advanced attunements as well. I need to get back into that!

Congratulations on getting your Reiki attunement - that's wonderful! I've done Reiki 1 & 2, 3 times with 3 different teachers. It just sort of ended up that way because I have moved around a lot.

The first time was definitely the most noticeable. I was going through sort of a spiritual awakening already so it's hard to say what caused what. That first Reiki Master had very pure energy. I remember that I could feel a charge, a vibration, just when I walked into his house.

After the attunement I got in the car and I was bombarded with inner messages from different spirit friends. It was like they were all talking to me at once, just wanting to give their support. It was pretty trippy but it settled down by the next day.

I feel the more you use it, the stronger the energy channel becomes. So give it to your friends, family and self as much as possible. Join in Reiki shares. It's a great way to keep the energy flowing.

Thanks guys for the posts. It was great. It was very relaxing. The only thing that was weird is that my solar plexus was hurting intensely for a while after the attunement. I realize my concentration has improved greatly and also my intuition. Can't wait until I get to level 2.
