Smile Anyone else have this happen?

I have been meditating for quite some time and recently(past two or so months) I've been able to actually quiet my mind quite a bit. I've also noticed however that while I'm meditating I'm starting to see shimmery/white/sparkly images. I even am now seeing them while not meditating. Ie throughout the day. I also did get a phrase the other morning upon waking up "you are omnipresent", and when I got up I got some shimmery visuals. I was just wondering has anyone else had experience with this as well? And as to what it might be?

It seems like you're experiencing a shift in your consciousness. It's not uncommon to hear "phrases" in your head of see visions. I'm not sure what the shimmery visuals represent, I think it has a personal meaning for you.

Sparkling lights are a sign of spirit or angel presence. Classic sign actually.

Default Yeah

Erin that's kind of what I thought too. I also get kind of dizzy for no reason sometimes and I have major shifts in energy. Such as one day I'll be super energetic and just buzzing everywhere and the next I can be just a pile of nothing. Just so tired that I don't even wanna get out of bed. I should also note that I've been having a lot of strange tingling in my head as well. I have been trying to clear and energize the chakras.

Seeing the shimmery images doesn't bother me at all, nor hearing phrases or words. In the past it would have, but fear is something I've learned to let go of. Can't get anywhere being paralyzed by fear. I'm just guessing that it all has to do with the changes that I'm making/doing and I'll roll with it.

Yeah, sounds about right. Working with chakras can sometimes cause strange energy fluctuations. Try to keep them all at the same intensity level if you can.

Default Maybe something else...

This isn't as spiritually uplifting as the other replies, but it's possible you could be having ocular migraines. In December I started getting these strange shimmering light visuals, a couple times at work, and then once at home. It was never accompanied by pain, but I was concerned so I asked my doctor. He said it could be ocular migraines. He suggested I visit an eye doctor to confirm, but so far I haven't.
However, now that I think about it, I like the idea of a spiritual presence much better!

About 6 years ago, I suddenly saw colored sparkling lights while standing talking to a friend after lunch. Shortly after, I had a seizure. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but perhaps you may want to have it checked out; just in case?

I've never had another seizure, but that one incident created a lot of havoc for me - lost my drivers license, multiple dr appointments, my insurance company tried to cut me off - and I never did get an answer as to what it was; they just labeled me and gave me pills.

classic sign its a good thing, i used to get scared of it.

I stop meditating because someone said you attract bad spirits to you, And i had some bad experiences like seeing eyes, I recommend you dont listen to people like that.

The first time I completely quieted my mind totally freaked me out. I panicked so bad I immediately jumped out of the meditation. It took me about two months to go back in and revisit the experience.

After a while I realized that I had truly experienced Ohm - that great emptiness which is all things. I won't lie - it still unsettles me a great deal and it's not someplace I play regularly. I'm not afraid of it anymore, but it's not something I can wrap my head around and that bothers me.

Guess that's one of my biggest failings - I still think too much. At least that's what I'm told.

I don't think you're supposed to "wrap your head" around a state of "no-mind" .

Hmm. Are these images clear or very fuzzy?

I had an interesting experience a while ago. I saw a blue grid pasted on the walls, it rotated along with my heads orientation so it was like I was projecting it onto the walls. As far as I can remember I had not recently been looking at a grid pattern which could create this effect, it just happened.

Hi there, I get the shimmery images regularly when meditating. They don't appear instantly, I need to meditate for four, five minutes, and then they start appearing, and as long as I keep meditating properly, they stay for the entire session.

I don't get white though. I used to get indigos and purples, subsequently they became blues, and now what I most often get is greens. The colours move around steadily, often they appear to be circular.

I only see these colours when meditating. I don't get any unusual shifts in energy during my daily routine. I don't get dizzy or have headaches or anything like that.

Default Sidhi's....

Hello all-
I'm at the 80-year milestone of a wonderful life. I pursued many paths and finally arrived at "self realization", "awakening", whatever you want to call IT.
I hope you all are intentionally on a path to "IT", and most forms of meditation are very good diciplines. What you want to achieve after long periods of practice is NOTHING! No audio-visuals, no "trips", nothing. That sounds like, well, nothing worthwhile to go after, to the uninformed; but actually, it's one of the coolest non-experiences you can have!

Namaste...John

Default Thankyou all

For your replies, I haven't had any seizures or anything of the sort. Sometimes I feel extremely dizzy after using Chakra clearing. I am a fairly healthy being. I have recently started using EFT again, I used it for many years awhile back to help unblock many things and then proceeded on with meditation. I still see the shapes and sparkly images, sometimes fuzzy. However I haven't seen a full image yet. I guess my mind isn't developed enough to actually get to that point. I do see them however. They are mostly white in color though sometimes can be blues. I don't feel scared or unsettled. I feel safe and very relaxed. I do still get the phrase "you are omnipresent", which I take to mean that I am everywhere at this moment. Whatever I've been given and or am doing I look at it as a present not something bad. I love the path that I'm on and will continue to move forward and use this forum as a place to talk with other like minded people. I hope you're all having a great day.

Yeah - well that's my point isn't it? I'm NOT supposed to and I shouldn't try... I should just let it be what it is and accept the experience. But, man I'm telling you, experiencing nothingness when there's ALWAYS been SOMETHING just rattles me. I cant' stay in that place too long or I start to slip away. I "know" cerebrally, that that's the point, but I guess I still have too much fear of "not being" to let go entirely.

It's a work in progress...
