Default the destination of human consciousness

What is the greatest trauma that human consciousness has manifested and has had to endure? What do you think would be the greatest trauma that we could endure? Speaking in terms of the collective consciousness, the one mind; for what purpose would the collective consciousness create such a thing? It's easy to see suffering as an opposite to joy and happiness, but should we be following in the direction of something that is nothing more than the other side of the same coin; or should we accept these things as part of ourself for the purpose of integrating that into our beings so that we can become whole? I am curious about the destination that humanity is seeking. Is it for the ultimate realization of self, or are we blindly guiding ourselves towards an ideal way living in illusion?

I've meditated for quite a while about this very question... Rather than copy and paste my blog post about my findings, I'll summarize them here. (If you want to look at the long version, which goes a lot more into the "why" then look for the one titled "Evil." The link is in my signature.)

My view of why the collective consciousness exists is so that it can experience everything. Part of everything is having an individual based awareness, so parts of Consciousness separates itself and is identified by the ego. From the collective consciousness perspective, suffering is just another experience, but from an ego-based perspective, suffering is evil.

The question, though, is from the perspective of the collective consciousness, should we, as ego-based individuals, strive for peace or continue to allow suffering to happen? Well, even with the perspective that suffering is just another experience to Consciousness, I believe that we should work towards peace, because let's face it, Consciousness has been through enough suffering already, and there has to be a reason why we don't like it.

It is a run between the increasing destructive technology and the awareness of the consciousness.

Scott adams had written a wonderful book called "Pieces of God". Not for the closed at mind .

but the concept he talks about where we're going is phenomenal and it makes sense too!

I'm not gonna spoil it - but i recomend anyone to go to his site, download the book and read it.

Hey -- thanks for the book recommendation.

It's actually called God's debris...here's the link:

http://images.ucomics.com/images/pdf...godsdebris.pdf

The book is great...I sent the link to my son (age 12) and told him to read it so we could discuss it later.

Anyone interested in starting a thread to discuss this book?

Thanks again, Fourthdan.
