| Do you believe that we will be punished for our past "sins" - "bad" behaviours in afterlife? Personally i don't believe that we will get punished in afterlife, but i think there are many people who believe that we will.I think that "good" or "bad" things are not really "good" or "bad",our viewpoints-views make them "good" or "bad".If something is good, then, whose standards determine the "goods" and if it is bad, whose standards determine the "bads"?A person's standards?A group's standards?A country's standards?Bible's standards? Also i believe that our beliefs create our reality and thoughts which we concentrate on create our reality,so they will create our afterlife too i believe. | No. With a capital N. The "source" is a giving entity. It does not know punishment. If our souls opt for something that humans would define as punishment, that's their choice, in the next life. Always a learning experience if not for the soul, than sometimes all of humanity. I don't define things as "good" or "bad." Just a necessary lesson to learn. Jennifer |

Please rethink about what you imagine, what it is, when someone is punished in an "afterlife". Tell (me) exactly how that will turn out. Your real self is what it is, it is there where it goes. That's all. In a linear-time-concept, one would put this like: when you think about "this" in your life now, and this is your goal, you will go on with "this" in the "afterlife". Is this punishment? Also, as time is also part of "Creation", is there a linear course to this? I do not know and I do not think so. But my capacity of imagination stops there, and so I cannot go on developing this thought. I think, though, that you've got the essential. Go on, that's all. Above all, listen to what your "inner teacher" tells you, that's all. Do not get distracted by "outer" "authorities". What these may be capable of doing sometimes, is: reflecting what you've already got inside of you: if that's the case, follow their instructions (and you follow your own instructions). If there is doubt when listening to "outer authorities": please reject all. Doubt leads nowhere, only into prison of lies. (even if these the "words" of the lies carried some truth, they will turn into lie in the darkness of doubt!) |

| Thanks for your answers,I agree to answers. Estrella,i think like sometimes doubt is needed. For example,my parents want me to be muslim, and most people in my country are muslim too,and if i wouldn't have doubts about islam and would have total faith, then maybe i would still be muslim. But i had doubts, and i jumped into the ideas in the first book i've read which had different perpectives about life than islam,it was a book about New Age,and i am very happy cause i have done it. |

| I have no inclination that we will be "punished." We have to live with what we did now and that is punishment enough. I don't believe there is a fiery pit waiting for you if you commit adultery or take the Lord's name in vain. I wouldn't worry so much about it until you get to the afterlife. I'm sure it will be interesting... |

| I do believe that the choices we make each day , will greatly effect how we respond to pure light and love , I say "pure" in the sense that we have the burden now of ego , and all the carnal attributes, of our human experience hindering , and effecting our perceptions of this pure light and love........ so the view will always be, as long as we are having our human experience, cloudy at best as for judgment........ we will see our true selves reflected in the glow of this true pure light and love.........so every thought we ever had, every action that we made or didn't make will be revealed under this glow of pure light and love, alot of what we do won't stand up under this perfect pure love, but some of what we do or have done will...... for ie) lets say I was born into the hands of drug addicted parents, where criminal behavior was also a part of my upbringing, as well as abuses of all kinds and ingnorance at many levels ( knowledge denied me) I slipped through the cracks of society, so intervention by society for a beter quality of life was denied me........ I carry on the legacy of my parents and live only what i know ... I die living that life that I knew , addicted, and all kinds of things that kept me downtrodden , oppressed , and in great pain and bondage but all along there was given me , a magical stone , i did not have the knowledge to know it was magical or that it had power....., or that it had properties of Joy, and for joy so i shelved it, or put in the stone flower bed outside or threw it away ....... whatever , never thought any more about it when i look at "pure" light and love , I automatically am reminded of the stone* and see the outcome of my choices in comparrison to pure joy and love it will be very overwhelming, because all of my life choices and the results /consequences of my life choices will have produced nothing , that can come close to or slightly resemble what pure love awaits............. this is where the Angels come in, they are weaping with us as well as joy with us.........they are one with us they will feel what we feel , so yes this will deffently feel like a "firey judgment" .....along with pure Joy!!!! (that is and was the stone) if we had knowledge of the stone, in a sense take it with us , (internally) our transition from carnal to pure spiritual form will make much more sense and be an easier transition Darkness although exposed under the glow of perfect love, will melt, will not stand up under /against this pure light and love we know this vaguely when we come to have our carnal experience, so we walk around in the dark trying to find descriptives and some are better descriptives than Good and bad perfection is completion of perfect light and love , joy is the centre of it.. and today my stone is shiny :-)) Last edited by Old Soul : 01-04-2008 at 01:37 PM. |

| This physical reality that we exist in right now is like a movie. When you watch something in a movie that you think is bad, what happens when you leave the theater? Leaving this 3D existence is very similar. You have a direct connection with source that cannot be broken. You have either a strong, full on connection with source (Joy!) or you have resistance to the stream. The 3D world that you presently live in is the resistance. When you leave this world, then you also leave ALL resistance. What you are left with is a full on connection to source. |

I hope the difference is clear. Doubt for me is doubt in yourself. As I understand in your example, the Islam point of view has never been totally yours. Doubt is when you doubt in yourself, doubt is what weakens faith. And that's dangerous. So, keep faith in your own insights, as you have. My point is: we may all know that there are things we do not know. But this is not doubt, this is knowing that we just do not know. Doubt is adopting a lie without realizing it. |
