Has anyone heard or have had experience with finding pennies after the death of a loved one? I recently lost my father in 7/07 from ALS, his passing was very hard for all that knew him. I've heard that the departed like to leave copper pennies as a remembrance. I have been finding many pennies in odd spots. I was wondering if any other people have any other similiar experiences? ive never heard it before, but it doesnt seem too far fetched, and im sorry about your father, that realy sucks, but maybe your father is leaving gifts from the other side for you.also, i think i know a way to contact your father from the other side, and its perfectly natural, no ouija boards or anything, just try astral projection, i dont know if youve heard or tried it, but its when your concioussness leaves the body, some think soul, but i dont think thats possible until you die. anyways, ive tried just about everything to astral project, but i couldnt get it forever, until i decided to just try things that i thought up. well, i started meditating alot, like 1nce a day, for about 15 minutes tops, and when i did this, i imagined i was somewhere else and made it as real as possible. that conditions your conciouss and subconciouss together. it also makes you remember your dreams more. well, make yourself wake up in the middle of the night, hopefully naturally, but alarm clocks ok. and remember a dream you were just having, or had. well, hopefully, your gonna be realy tired, so try to make yourself go back into the dream, and try to stay conciouss. this will hopefully trigger you to go back in the dream, but your still conciouss. thats a lucid dream. stay in the lucid dream for a couple seconds, but not too long, and try to either fly straight up out of the dream, and hopefully out of your body, or you can do what ive done, wich is feel for your body, like your inside your physical body, like its a bottle and your inside, and then simply try to float out. thats what ive done in the past, but thats because it works, and ive had trouble flying in my lucid dreams, it sucks. anyways, once your out, try to either, from what ive heard, just voice out that you want to see (your fathers name) and think about his personality as best you can. hopefully, someone will take you and guide you to him. agian, these are the ways i made up, and they work for me, but they might not work for you. if not, you can go look up robert monroe, that will give you good techniques, or robert bruce, or just astral projection. astral projection is also known as an obe, or out of body experience. and their realy cool. also, if you dont want to see your father or did this and have, then you can either, stay in that lucid dream and do whatever you want, trust me, those are fun. or you can travel other dimensions with astral projection, or just chil in this one and go around wherever you choose. have fun, and good luck.

I've read that deceased loved one's will leave coins for you to find. I have a friend, when his mom died, he would find tons of dimes. She used to collect them by the busloads. So its just a way for those who have passed on to say hello, and we are always with you. |

I know this seems odd that someone would be replying to your blog post a couple years late but I happen to of came across this when reasearching some questions I needed answering. I am a twin and three years ago on sept. 29, 2007, my family and I as well as many others in the community where I live lost a true person to ALL. My brother Nick, or as we grown to call him Nickyboy was killed apon impact while driving drunk late at night without a seatbelt when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled. No one else was injured, he wasnt able to say goodbye to anyone. Ive done my fair share of research as well as many occasions of it happening in the first person and from the conversantions I've had without numerous people, have come to the conclusion that it could be of two things why they leave the pennies behind. One; They were not able to finish busines here on earth they felt needed, as in saying a proper good bye to those loved ones, and two; The loved one that passed away is sticking around to make everyone ok with knowing they are gone. When my brother passed it was devastating, to EVERYONE. We started getting pennies as early as the first few days. Some people on here that come across this and read this may think I'm crazy and that's fine for what I'm about to tell you truly in all sounds crazy but here it goes. We noticed the first couple days that pennies were being left on everyones pillow early in the morning when we would awake. Weird I thought, and for awhile I actually thought it was my older brother. I was wrong, I was in my room one night pissed off at the world and my brother came in to calm me down and asked me a simple question. Do you think Nicky is doing this or me? And I replied with " I don't know who it is, It's hard to believe something like that " Moments later I was hit in the back of the head as well as my lower back with a penny and a dime. I was facing my brother away from one of the walls in my room, there was no one else in the room but us. That was just the beginning, I've literally seen it now. It simply appears out of the thin air and either drops or he throws it, I told it to make it rain quarters on my mom one night in the dining room, and I forgot the actually amount but it was like 9 quarters he dropped on my mom. That was the loudest one we've had, needless to say he's good at what he does. Whoever passed away in your life, which I am truly sorry for, they are just trying to tell you they are in a better place. I hope this helped in any way, I know it was a long answer but I could literally fill a book with the stuff that happens in this family, you just have to have Faith and love in God, Trust me I didn't believe in him till I asked my brother and got the answer I was looking for =) But thats a whole nother story.

Nicky boy welcome to the forum. I vaguely rember a story of a ghost that left coins in strange places . I find a few pennys on the ground , but I think they fall from pockets and people are too lazy to pick them up . Its too bad people get drunk , drive , wreak and get killed . desert rat

I would say that pennies are everywhere. People drop them all the time and don't bother to bend down and pick them up. You can attach whatever meaning you want to finding pennies, and in your mind, you'll be right. But you'll never know for sure if the pennies are a sign from a loved one, but you can choose to believe it if it helps you.

Nickyboy, thanks for telling your story and bringing this post up. I forgot all about the rarity of this in my life as it still happens to me till this day. I find dimes and I never connected it to someone who died. It started with a dream that at transportation spots or streets and sidewalks I would find dimes. After that time I did. I have many incidents of finding them. One time I decided to tell a close friend who did not believe me. I looked down and there one was. I picked it up and gave it to her. I was sad one day and really distraught to the point of tears. I started crying going down the street as I was on my way to the grocery. On the way I found three dimes and in front of the store I found three. (Like a trail). On another occasion, I found 22 in one month. I find them just as the dream said. I told another friend and she stated now she finds dimes. I always wondered why only once I ever found a quarter and I rarely find pennies. Once I found a $20 but it is always dimes at my feet. Now that I am used to finding them I have found them when I worry or when I need cheering up as well as when I have had good news. Seems like a support when I find them. This has been going on for over 15 years now. I am not even thinking about it and as I step on the bus or at the subway, there it is. Only one time I thought oh this was just a coincidence that's when I needed exactly ten cents at a check out. I looked on the floor near the cashier and there was the only change-a dime. Okay maybe not a coincidence.... |

In one of one Robert Monroes out of body books he said a few dollers would appear in his pants pockets on accasian . Many years ago I needed money to bail out my girl friend . An assualt charge , the guy did not show up in court. It was on a sat. no banks were open then I had maxed out my atm limit paying other bills , I think it was $200 way back then. I needed $20 more than I had to make the bail. A check cashing place would not take my check for $20 . Just out side of the check place was a $20 bill on the ground . We got the bail back when the guy did not show up. desert rat

Those are incredible stories. It makes you wonder about the logistics involved. How does a spirit manifest a physical object, particularly coins? Does it collect someplace and is then "carried" over to a location or are they simply created out of nothing? I'm curious to know what years were stamped on the coins as well, were they in mint condition? Old? Dirty? Clean? |

I have found this to be VERY true, or believe it is true. My mother passed away 15 years ago, and not until approx 5 years ago did I pay attention to the coins, and like most everyone, it all appears in dimes. I do not find many pennies and if so, I still abide by the "head's up" only rule. When I would find a dime, I would always pick it up, say "thanks" and "I love you too" to mom. Recently though, I got a new job, and being someone with anxiety, you know how that can be. On my second day, I was walking down the hall to my new hospital when a Dr. was walking by, stopped, picked up a dime, looked at me, walked over and said, "Here, you need this more than me today, it will bring you luck." I stopped, clenched it tight then started to cry. I have only been at my new job for three weeks and have all ready found 4 dimes in just various places. Believe what you want, the mind is most powerful, and maybe, just maybe, all of this is just a coincidence. But it gets me through my day. I still pick them up, put them in my pocket and tell mom "thanks." |

I have received pennies from a loved one or ones in times of need or despair. I was never intentionally looking for a sign at these times. It took quite a few pennies in the strangest places, like stuck to my leg when I woke up in the morning, under a bed pillow, or in some other odd place. Funny thing is, I do not keep change on me ever, and if I do have it I give it away. So in other words, I do believe in this.

My mom just passed away from CHF. Right after she died, I was crying and my little niece gave me a dime to make me "feel better." Since then I have been finding dimes everywhere, on the kitchen counter, on my bed, on the table. I can't help but believe there is some connection.
