Default Do the people around you share the same beliefs of reality as you do?

My current friends at school are all of the 'status quo' mindset, Here are some of their quotes:

1. "If you don't get a job when you grow up, then your gonna be poor"
2. "If you fail at school, you'll fail at life"
3. "$100 is a large sum of money" (and so for him it will be)
4. "Most people are stupid" (this mindset will yield some interesting results )
There were more but I can't remember them at this present moment.

Their current belief systems are ones of the average Joe. Its funny because they aren't aware of the 'real' me, but its probably better to keep it that way (I wonder if any of them is an undercover 'eagle' like me, although knowing them I highly doubt it)

Actually, if it weren't for boredom combined with the internet, I'd be following the same belief system as my parents and friends, which wouldn't get as far in life.

Anyhow, in a year, I'm going to be meeting a lot of new friends at a university far from my current home, and probably won't be seeing any of my current friends anymore or anyone I know in my current home town. Its going to be a fresh new start .

That's awesome. Being able to keep your positive mindset when surrounded by so much "normalness" is a challenge for most people. Although some people use it as a yard stick of what not to believe.

For myself, yeah, I'm definately different to many around me, especially my family. I don't care about money at all and prefer just for everyone to get along without all the petty fights, predjudices and ego. I believe in Science and God at the same time, along with Law of Attraction, spirits, psychics and paranormal events. There's just too much to life that science can't define, but what it can provide is enormous too.

As for my friends, most of them tend to be of the earn -> spend -> survive mindset, but there are a few which are more service focussed. I'm slowly infecting them though. Have you thought about doing that with your friends?

hi
I see. I recognize your feelings for having experienced the same.
But, do you see other things than just their personality in them? (ah the definitions, with personality I mean what we see outside, the physical aspects, behavior, and so on), do you see the real "Self" in each of them? once you see such things, be it in one or two of them, you will love these (one or two, you see I'm speaking about unconditional, divine love, not the "feeling"), and you will experience things. You do not need to seek like-minded people, it is perhaps enough to keep contact via internet, and "experience" *real* things in the material world. (real= coming from invisible world).
Because, if one constantly seeks for like-minded people, "on the same level as we" or whatever), you do not see those in front of you. You cannot experience real love etc. And love is what it's all about (love as I explained above). Not more.
Happy new year in September (?) when you will move to see others at the other university!
*estrella*
