What about Consciousness as an alternative to the One or the Universe? What about the thought, "Consciousness is all there is"?

But you're not within the boundaries of being human. You just think
you are.

Are you absolutely sure you are living in a physical body (as The Matrix addresses.) Or could it be that you just think you are?

Right. Good one.
My take is that saying got misunderstood.
Just because the saying sez "Consciousness is all there is", there is no mention of it saying "There is only One Consciousness that is all there is."

Like I keep saying, Infinity is big enough for all of us. I guess the problem is, we try and put "human" concepts on infinity.

It "snaps" our outlook, it "short-circuits" our outlook ......to think that there is such a thing as "room" enough for all these individual awarenesse's and each one with it's own infinite universe.
But that's good. It Free's your mind.

Probably that's where the idea came from, that it ultimately can only be "one" consciousness......because of approaching infinity from a "human" viewpoint.
From a limited viewpoint, one cannot fathom infinity.

This has been debated for centuries... subjective relaity vs. objective reality... man's thought creates environment vs. environment creates man, and man's thoughts.... perhaps they are one and the same, or perhaps not. One thing is, we have been examining these theories since Plato, and even now, modern scholars argue the same principles, just in different terminology. Maybe it is something we aren't meant to know.

And when we come to know, it doesn't matter anymore!
