Default Acim and Devil

Does A Course In Miracles tell about devil?Does it say that devil exist?

I am working on exercises of Acim with my therapist.I asked him if devil exists or not and he said that angels exist why not devil, devil exists he said.I said him that i have problem about accepting devil really exists,he said me that i should not think devil as material...

I am worrying about if he is trying to integrate Muslim into Acim(or acim into Muslim whatever it is),or does Acim tell that Devil exist?

In my understanding of ACIM, no the "Devil" doesn't exist. The only thing that exists in truth is God (consciousness).

We (as the egoic mind) can hold beliefs in such things and in effect make them "Real" in our experience (misperception), but in Truth they cannot be "Real".

"Angels" are also illusions, though they are "Good"/positive illusions rather than bad/negative ones.

From a Christian perspective, angels and devils are the same creatures, only the former is good and the latter is bad. Satan himself was originally an angel that rebelled against God. So if you believe in one, logically you should believe in the other, too.

Jack,

Devil, sata, hell, angels are all manifestations of our creative mind. They exist in the mind (and will probably exist in YOUR reality) if you want them to exist.

Even if the ACIM tells that the devil exist, why should you believe the book blindly? Find the truth on your own. Use the books as a reference to new ideas/thoughts but dont beleive anything because ____ said so.

The devil is not responsible for your obsessions. I wonder if anyone has actually seen a devil or been to hell to tell us whats going on there. How worse can hell be than some of the places on earth like war torn countries or countries where people die from hunger??

Its your habits and the way you have conditioned your mind and body. You can break free from that. I can speak from my personal experience.

Truth - I wish I had a definition. There are so many truths out there - Isnt that a contradiction? Can we have mutliple truths?

Western religions talk about one truth, Eastern religions talk about another truth....on and on. So what should we follow?? After reading both, I have an inclination towards Eastern religions - Hinduism, Buddhism because they dont tell you to believe in someone else or something you havent seen or felt. They talk about knowing god/truth by knowing yourself - looking within because the one thing you know for sure is that you exist and you are real.
Even practicing yoga like Kundalini can help you become aware of your true nature.

So you decide to look within and what happens?? You have all these noises and voices that disturb you - MIND. So what do you do? Learn to get rid of them. My suggestion is to start practicing meditation, mindfulness and other exercises to gain mental mastery. When the mental chatter calms down, then you can look within and see for yourself instead of asking others.

Read all kinds of books. Its good but stay detached and ask yourself if this resonates with your heart. There are many ways to the truth but follow your heart. Remember, the book of truth will always teach to empower yourself. It would never teach you to be fearful or to be scared of something.

This is just my own personal opinion. Good luck
