Animal Spirit Guide Animal Spirit Guide My wife has some interesting stories about animal guides and I wanted to share one of them with you for your comments and views. 1st. It is important that you know the following facts which helps explain her beliefs. She is from the Sioux Indian Nation. Teton Division Lakota Dialect Hunkpapa Band Her Spirit Guide is the Wolf. The animal is not chosen by the person, the person is chosen by the animal. Some time ago…around 1996 or so. My wife worked at an on base, Army Hospital as a PTA. She met a co worker who was an Indian from back east somewhere, and became friends with her. She came to find out that her friend made Jewelry and wanted to buy a bracelet that she had made so the transaction was made and my wife had a new item to add to her many bracelets that he had acquired over the years. Along with this bracelet, her friend insisted to give her some earrings that were made more for the Male gender rather than Female. My wife thought these earrings were a little unusual looking and knew that she would not wear this herself but took them anyway because they were a gift that came along with the bracelet. So she tucked these away with her jewelry and basically forgot about them for a few years. She had a dream one night about a black man she had been working on at the clinic. In her dream, her spirit guide came to her (the wolf) and told her that this man was part Indian and she needed to give him the earrings and that his spirit guide was the Bear. That is all she knew. So she was a little nervous about this because he would think she was nuts if she were to do this. But the next time she saw this patient she quietly asked him if he was Indian and he answered yes, that his Grandmother was Indian, and he was very surprised that she would know this. She said she didn’t know and that her spirit guide told her this. She did this all in a very quite manor for fear that the other staff would find out about this. That day she took with her 2 of the 3 earrings that were given to her by her Indian friend who was long ago transferred to another base. She asked the patient to wait for a minute while she went to get the earrings to give him. She returned with the earrings and told him about the vision she had, and did not know why she was to do this, but that there was a reason that he needed to have these earrings. She also explained to him that his spirit guide was the bear and that he needed to do some research about the bear to understand his habits. He accepted these earrings, and commented how his Grandmother encouraged him to know of the Indian ways and that he had not set aside time to do this but now would take the time to do it. That was the last time she saw him. Please comment if you see more than meets the eye. For my wife this encounter ended and has no more meaning. For him….who knows? SS |
Last night I dreamed that a magical half-deer, half-giraffe about the size of a Great Dane wandered into my apartment and curled up in my lap, which was difficult because of all the angles and elbows. Still, it made itself quite at home and there was no question of asking it to leave. Is this my animal spirit guide? |
Perhaps, Angela - You'd have to combine deer and giraffe characteristics but not full-size due to the smaller than "normal" size of your magical animal. ;) Excerpts from the deer and giraffe descriptions on this site say: Quote:
I'm curious what the earrings looked like? |
Wowee, thanks, Lola! |
Yeah - read the entire entries, I just thought they were a little long to post here. Some parts sound an awful lot like someone I know! :D |
I was sort of intrigued by the dugong! |

The earrings were bear paws. I talked to my wife about this and I had it wrong! The Bear came to her and asked her to give the earrings to her patient, not the wolf. SS |

Wow, that story's pretty amazing. I wonder why it was important to give him the earrings. Was it just to encourage him to explore his Indian ancestry? hmmm ____________ antique earrings |
