Conscious Awakening - What are the consequences?

Conscious Awakening

I haven’t given this topic a vast amount of thought, like you guys, perhaps.
I just thought I would throw another possibility in the ring.
Whilst many people are awakening, many are moving in the opposite direction (perhaps to depths where it is very hard to adjust there mindsets and there children’s mindsets. Such people may refuse to change and continue to control many people’s minds (with marketing power, etcetera).
What about our neighbors in Africa? What is the current state of consciences in an ordinary African Family? Perhaps they are severely undeveloped as a result of being deprived of some kind of a fair development. Or maybe they would be conscious under any circumstances because of the appreciation of life they have been able to discover.
My apologies for the overflow spill of undeveloped thoughts and theories here.
Please enlighten me on what you think.

(P.S. (On a similar subject) Do you think that capitalist ‘big bosses’ in large multi-national corporations have these urges in the modern day and age?)
