Default I Died In My Dream.

ISN'T THIS SUPPOSED TO BE ABNORMAL?
Quick story about a trip in a plane that went horribly wrong just after liftoff.
When I hit the ground, I was sitting and all the debris and carnage surrounding me De-evolved, if it's a word. Everything transformed so quickly that I instantly stood up on gold tinted sand in a majestic cove, with a bay bright and glittering. I felt like running. I look down and there on my feet are my prized training shoes. Three others I never met before jogged along towards me and said "come on". I was loving it and then I simply stopped and turned around to figure this out. All I knew at that point was that there is a beautiful and peaceful feeling which is going to move me forward forever, and around there are wonders at my finger tips.

I felt and experienced a lot more in this dream than I could ever put into words.
Is it true that when we hear of people dreaming a dream of dieing, they always wake before they die in the dream?

It's a huge myth that if you dream you die you will die in real life. I can't tell you how many dreams I've had where I not only died but went on to the afterlife.

Such dreams do seem fairly infrequent, and quite interesting.

About a decade ago I dreamt that I was in a moon colony, the US discovered us, didn't want to acknowledge our existence, and instead decided to nuke us. As everyone tried to escape by swimming away in an ocean on the moon, I realized there was no chance of getting away, so I stopped swimming, felt myself sinking into the water and drowned. It was actually a fairly peaceful experience in the dream. As mentioned in another thread, I then went on to be in another dream, with memory of the last, like dream reincarnation

I've heard that idea, too.
But I have definitely died in dreams, so I think it's just a myth. It sounds like you had a nice experience, though, beach and all.

Default Dream dying

i have died in my dreams twice. Both times i knew i was dead. In one, i was climbing the side of a mountain and reached for a rock i felt was safe...but it came loose and i fell to my death. Felt every bone break and knew i was gone. But i'm still here, so i have to say myth. i suppose it's possible that if one were to experience death in a dream and be so startled or traumatized by it that thier physical response was to have a heart attack ( in real life ), then sure...they might never wake up. Anything is possible.

I also died a couple of times in dreams. Then i just wake up. But it is weird, i agree with you, at one time we're facing death and in the next moment you realize it was all a dream. Sometimes i can wake up before i die, it's like when i face the death situation i force myself to realize it's a dream and then i get out of it quickly before i die hehe.

If dreaming that you're dead is a signal, then i should have died a couple of times already in real life.

Those types of dreams are really interesting. When I had one, the first feeling was terror and then total peace.

I have died a few times in dreams also. I can't remember the first couple i had clearly, I just remember waking up thinking, "I just died in that dream, isn't that not supposed to happen?"
One of the most recent, I was driving in a vehicle with another person, (I don't remember who, but I know I knew them well.) We went on a high overpass, and or some reason, we crashed off the side to the pavement below. For a few moments it was terror waiting for impact and thinking about a million things in one second, then at the very last moment, I looked over at the person in the passenger seat and simply said, "Bye." After that, blackness, I remember thinking, that wasn't as painful as I thought it would be...
I am a Paramedic and have dealt with alot of wrecks so I thought that might be why I discovered that fear in a dream, however, I have never
had a car go off an overpass yet, or heard of one...
I also had a dream that I went off a brigde into water while driving an Ambulance, I mananaged to swim out, but I couldn't get my partner out.

Default Flying before dying(in dreams)

Seems to be a pattern here. From the posts and from experiences of others, it seems that in our "dying dream", we are at some point airborne and out of control.
Let's talk.

Dreams are symbolic...

There is something in your life that you are dying to... something in your life that you will be reborn from.

A huge relief for sure. I have to go to work in the morning. What would they say if I didn't show up?
