As the song says, "If there's a rock and roll heaven, then you know they've got a helluva band." Being a southern belle, it would be blasphemous of me to say I never cared for Elvis, even if I didn't |

Well, he changed all musically, sexually, politically, etc. He changed the world, maybe more than Jesus, but less than The Beatles. The Beatles got into intelectual things, most of them discussed in this site, that Elvis was totally out. They were creators and leaders too. Nice last post for me for a while, big holidays for me. |

I don't know what came over me Elvis Presley - Suspicious Minds lyrics We're caught in a trap I can't walk out Because I love you too much baby Why can't you see What you're doing to me When you don't believe a word I say? We can't go on together With suspicious minds And we can't build our dreams On suspicious minds So, if an old friend I know Drops by to say hello Would I still see suspicion in your eyes? Here we go again Asking where I've been You can't see these tears are real I'm crying We can't go on together With suspicious minds And be can't build our dreams On suspicious minds Oh let our love survive Or dry the tears from your eyes Let's don't let a good thing die When honey, you know I've never lied to you Mmm yeah, yeah |

It's possible Elvis fulfilled his purpose on Earth as a human bean, as Max likes to say. He had a huge influence, not just in rock and roll, but the Delta Blues and gospel as well. He obviously had some karma to balance out and I like to think that he succeeded in that as well. I've learned from Erin's posts not to feel sorry for folks whose experiences are not all mountain top experiences. It's very likely they've just accomplished what we've all got to do sooner or later.

I'm sure Elvis and others have done what they were intended to do, however, it would have been nice if they could have enjoyed their lives more in the process. All of us have the choice as to how we perceive our experiences.
