Who says logic isn't a miracle?

I think everything under the sun, explainable by reason or not, is miraculous. But "miracles" by the common definition are just useful coincidences or ordinary occurrences... not really that interesting.

I don't believe most people's stories of other people encountering miracles. That's just too far removed from my reality. If I ever came across a miraculous, illogical or unexplainable occurence, I don't see why I wouldn't aknowledge it. But alas, I am yet to experience one.

On the other hand, love, nature, some cute thing that your cat does or an amazing sunset in an unknown land can be called miracles. And I have certainly experienced those. But somehow I don't think they're what you're talking about.

From Wikipdia:

"Miracle: a striking interposition of divine intervention by a God in the universe by which the ordinary course and operation of Nature is overruled, suspended, or modified."

If we stick to that definition, I would have to say that there are no miracle... some phenomenas cannot be explained... but I believe that the reason is that we lack the necessary elements to complete the equation... and not because there was a Divine intervention... God, in His infinite wisdom has seem fit to live and let live...

Depends on how you use "miracle". Hume said, and I agree with him, that you can never know that you actually witnessed a miracle. If miracles are things that break the laws of the universe, you have to know all the laws of the universe before you can be sure something broke the rules. Since we don't know all the laws of the universe, we can never know if something we witnessed actually broke the laws of the universe, or if what we witnessed was perfectly in line with other rules.
