Just before he passed away. Try to make it to the guitar solo/jam at about 00:02:40 on the YT video: Roy Orbison and Friends - Oh Pretty Woman - YouTube They were in awe of him and his rock falsetto voice. Watch him lead the group. Supposedly there was a lot of improvisation thruout the entire gig and the others knew he was near his end.
