A person may value a type of relationship where he/she feels better when they are associated with a group of people or another person may value the intimacy between themself and just one other or maybe two other people. Intimacy would involve sharing deep feelings and personal matters without fear of those feelings getting out to other people. Or some people might value being accepted for who they are and not want to be either in groups or very intimate. A person who is into acceptance likes to do their own thing sometime but also likes to be with their spouse or friend at other times. Kind of like don't crowd me. But can there be a fourth type of relationship in which a person values being with themself more than with other people? If that is a relationship how would the person associate with their self? |
