Default Is this the key to everything?

I've noticed the people who seem most at peace are the ones who feel connected with everyone and everything.

Is empathy the key to self mastery?

This article has me wondering...

Nearly everyone feels more peaceful when connected.

Connectedness is not the same as empathy.

Empathy is mostly limited to not just connecting but experiencing whatever other people (sometimes animals) are experiencing at this moment. FYI: empaths without the ability to shut it off are usually unhappy because they have to deal with the stuff from everyone around them.

Connectedness is with everything, living or not, all creation. One does not take on what another is experiencing per se. There is a sense that everything is really just a part of one grand self of which you are an integral part. There is a sense of being greatly expanded.
