Default Really need to get someone off my mind

I split up with my last girlfriend 15 months ago, but i still think about her daily. We were together for two years and still very close when we broke up. How can I can I stop thinking about her?

Have you dated anyone since you two broke up? That might help you forget about her. I've gotten pretty butthurt over stuff like that before when i was younger, but it goes away with time. Now I'm like "Who?" LOL Kind of like when you're a kid and your dog or cat dies, you're really sad for a while, but when you think of the pets years down the road it doesn't bother you anymore. You still remember how awesome they were but you don't get sad thinking of them.

I dunno. That depends on your exact situation. In my last situation, a few things helped... one was daily meditation. Another was realizing that what I desired in her (positivity, intimacy, humor, joy) where qualities I could have for myself by working on them by myself... even though she'd make the process easier, it would make the process harder to rely on her for that because then I'd just hurt in yearning for her when she wasn't there... and she certainly wasn't! I had to make myself the center of my existence, not a transient relationship with another person.

I don't know if that will be helpful for you. Maybe try just dating/socializing a lot, if you don't already? That's another thing that keeps my mind off of, not necessarily her, but desiring someone in general.
