Maybe you should be asking yourself the question: Does it really matter at all? And whatever another person may think of you is distorted from the get go for the very reason that they aren't you (on the surface- all is interconnected).

It sometimes does happen to me that when I am thinking of someone, I get a call from them or both of us are dialing at the same time etc. It does happen but it happens only with a few people.

Nope.

This is where faith, trust, and outcome independence come in.

It is easy, behave like obviously like a jackass to them, then you do really know that they think of you as a jackass.

Any thing that you can do, that is powerful enough to break past the defences of a person, will change what they think about you.

But it doesn't matter anyway what someone thinks of you. The only think that counts are actions.

I think a better question is: "Is it possible to know what you think of yourself?"

I'm guessing you're asking this question because you have doubts over a particular person's opinion of you.

Without further information, the best answer I can offer is that if you have doubts over someone's opinion of you, there's a reason for it. You need to figure out what that reason is. You should ask yourself whether the reason is an internal issue (i.e. a problem with YOU - such as a lack of self-esteem or confidence) or an external issue (i.e. a problem with THEM - such as genuine signs that they may dislike you, or not like you as much as you like them) and then deal with it accordingly. Nine times out of ten you'll find it's the former rather than the latter, and thus is fixable through internal reconditioning. In the rare instance that it's the latter, you should let the relationship go.

But in answer to the question: no, you can't ever truly know for certain what someone else thinks of you. But if you can identify and destroy the source of the doubt, you'll see that it doesn't even matter anyway.

JeremyW, I think the members who have posted in this thread would love to offer you some advice, but you haven't exactly given us much to go by. Could you please elaborate?

Yes.

First, understand them.

Then, look at yourself through your understanding of them.

Last, introspect.

#1 is the hardest step.

It was a general question, not one relating to any particular incident.

Better to ask yourself "what do I want people to think of me?" and then ask yourself "what do I need to change in myself to create these thoughts?".This tends to work for me, although I can't prove it to myself nor you

I don't know whether I quote right, but I think it was Brain Tracy:
