Yikes: Klamath Falls Woman Shot in Face at Party - News Story - KTVZ Bend Up until tonight, I've never heard of this guy. He must be one of the newer ones because I haven't followed that stuff for a couple of years now. I know this isn't a laughing matter, but isn't it slightly friking ironic that a man who guys by the handle "GUNwitch" is arrested for shooting someone? Someone shoulda told this dude that shooting girls in the face is not a very effective pick up method. Here's his website for those who are curious: Official home of Allen "Gunwitch" Reyes. |

Yay for rural Oregon. Not my ideal place to live, partly because it's too out in the boonies, nearly every home has at least one gun, and for entertainment, people get drunk and knock each other up or shoot one another. My favorite thing to do in K-Falls was keep driving through until it was out of my rear view mirror. |

He's been around a while. I used to read PUA material about 8-10 years ago, and I've heard of him. Never listened to or read anything by him and looking at that website thank god. What was that expression? Was it skeeve meter? I have a hard time believing a woman would sleep with him without being under the influence. One of the podcasts (or somethings) title was Hitler vs. the Jews. And that's all I have to say bout that. Is there a key for stunned silence.

You would have to be seriously out of it on drugs or have a very weak mind to go with that guy and sleep with him willingly...but then, maybe there just isn't much else to do in "the boonies" as curiously random put it? Maybe he is the pick of the bunch out there?

As I understand he used to be in pickup a long time ago (like 10 years plus) back before mystery or the book the game. People change a lot in 10 years, so I doubt there's very much of a connection between pickup and whatever happened at this party. He hasn't really been 'in' the community in a long time, I'm not sure he even teaches any more. Sure looks bad for pickup though, doesn't it? |

| I felt kinda bad for knocking rural Oregon, especially as I lived that life for quite some time. But K-Falls... never liked that town. Last time I drove that way, it was night and snow was blowing sideways over highway 97. I didn't stop.

| Actually might be connected. In the PUA community there's a strong thread of blaming women for the ills of the world. I noticed a really strong undercurrent of anger in that community -- at times hidden, at times more manifest.

The advice stay away from PUA's is some good advice. I read the Game and also the book some dutch guy wrote about the 3 months he spend with PUA's to write his thesis. When he first met some PUA's they labelled him as 'expert' as he had already had some girlfriends during his life. PUA's only discuss about technics to get women delivered like pizza or whatever but they get frustrated when their technics doesn't seem to work. It's nice to read first the game and his book afterwards. Put's a lot of things into perspective. |

Well he still has a website going. I don't know how active it is, but at the least, he still sells his old material. I betting his involvement with the community had a lot do with it. At least in a subconscious sense which led to his behavior. In PUA they talk about frame control or being the one who is in charge of defining the shared reality at that moment. For some it's all about being a man and in control and the like. It's very likely that he has at the very least a residual image of himself of being a ladies man, and he's trying to be in control and she frustrated those efforts. If he's as unstable as he looks I think that could be about all it take to set him off. This unlucky lady just happen to do it in a specific way that really pushed his buttons. Just a theory.

I want to want to be a PUA, I admit it. However, between the thinly veiled misogyny and the blatant profiteering off the hopes of unsuccessful guys (last price I saw was a 3 week online course, "limited" to 250 participants, $1k), I can't make myself want to be like that. Quote:

I just had a look at his page. Unfortunately, I think this guy seems somewhat more grounded in reality than some other PUA material.. Although I've got a quote here from it; "Ted Bundy, the infamous serial killer/sociopath didn't feel fear or panic when he saw a target. He felt rage, sexual perversion and desire to kill, hence NO fear to approach them, of course wanting to have sex isn't the same thing, but its still more effective than feeling fear or confusion about your desires and direction." Maybe some fear is a good thing? |
