inaccurate relationship predictions?

I've been dating this guy now for about three months. When we first started dating, I had a reading with a psychic whom I've gotten several other readings from in the past and he'd given me some very keen insights before. At the time the relationship was very new and the guy I'm seeing was supposed to be traveling around and so things were kind of on the fence in terms of the direction the relationship would go in so I asked my psychic if he thought i should continue to invest energy into the relationship. His reaction was an immediate "no! You shouldn't invest anymore energy". I remember trying to plead with him a little saying "oh come on really? but I've been wanting someone like him and he's a great guy" and he said "well..I guess it's ok for now, but it's not like you're going to marry him or anything."

Well..I kept seeing this guy and now we're three months in and it's not like I want to marry him (yet) but he's turning out to be the best relationship I've ever been in. I'll go ahead and say this is turning out to be the most meaningful relationship I've ever had to date and I can very really and seriously see myself with him for a long time.

The only thing is, part of me continues to doubt myself and how I feel because my psychic told me I wasn't going to be with him (and seemed very adamant about it too) and now it would seem he's playing a pretty significant role in my life. Is it possible he was wrong and if so, how would he get the information/impression that I wasn't supposed to be with this guy when in fact, maybe I am?

A proper and ethical psychic would never strip you of your power like this one did.

First, if he was so sure you shouldn't be with this guy he should have been able to point specifically to the reasons why. "You could be with this guy but you need to know he has honesty issues so you may have some trouble in that area. But you may be able to work through them." or something like that.

Psychics are not meant to strip us of choices. They are there to provide information that we can then choose to act on. Now it's possible you will be unhappy long term if you stay with this person, and it's equally possible you will be happy long term if you stay. The choice is yours.

thank you for your response!! I am very very happy with him now this relationship has done a lot of good for me. I guess I always believed in the concept of a soul mate and so i took my psychic's immediate negative reaction as an indication that he saw this was not my soul mate so there was no reason to put forth the energy. This is probably the root of all my doubts at this point. Am i wrong to think this way?

Read my article on soul mates and soul connections:

thank you, Erin! That definitely puts my mind at ease quite a bit!!!! I don't think I'll be eliciting the advice of that particular psychic any more.
