Default May December Romances

So I am in one of these and the first year was okay there were bumps and hurdles but over all OK! Today is three years two months and two days later and I am feeling completely let down. How do you care for someone and distrust them and dislike them all at the same time…tired of being the teacher and the guider and the one with the answers and so on and so on…He wants to get married...I been there done that and currently we are going through court battles for the kids five years post divorce so I don’t want to have disaster again. I need input from someone that this type of relationship has worked for because as far as I can tell its a miss situation…I feel for this man even have gone so far as loving him but today I feel trapped and very let down..he is not the man I fell in love with he is a controlling spoiled brat the has no idea what relationships entail other than sex and arguements…..this is my feeling today it may change after church as it does almost every week but right now I have to purge these thoughts or snap at him or my kids because currently he is in a spoiled huff for some reason and not speaking to me yet again!!

I think May December relationships CAN work, but generally only when the younger partner is mature, and it sounds like your partner is NOT. You have kids to raise, you don't want a partner who's also a child!

What is good about your relationship? What makes you care for this man? If there is nothing holding you together, it would make more sense for you to part!
