Default Having a moment...

Hi all,

Have any of you experienced a breakdown in confidence after going through an initial energy surge? I'm right in that position again, and now I feel as though the last ten years of my life were somehow wasted. I can't think of any fun or valuable skill that I have learned that will make me any more interesting to be around, and I had a lot of responsibilities and obligations to take care of that demanded all of my attention. So now, after going through an initial desire to become more socially confident, I suddenly feel like I'm making absolutely no progress whatsoever. Most of the people whom I love today are far more advanced than I am and are way more intelligent and fun. I don't know whether or not that's actually true, but that's what I seem to believe for some reason.

Is it normal to feel this way?

It depends on what you value as being worthwhile. There was this one guy with lots of confidence and great speaking ability. So do you want to be like him? He also hated Jews and placed value on killing Jews. His name was Adolf Hitler. Do you feel that he was more advanced than you?

Great speaking ability enables you to convince others of your belief whatever it is. I think that it is more valuable to be happy, love your neighbor and know what is right.

Thank you -- and you are right. I'm at the point in my life where my own happiness is more paramount than ever. I had quite an episode last night of anxiety and loneliness that I wasn't able to shake, save for going to sleep and waiting a day.
