Default On Love

Alright, i got a question for everyone

What is love? And does it last? Is is a self-hypnosis? Is it neediness projecting outwards?

now in particular i mean, can someone describe what they think love between a man and a woman is? And i mean sexual relationships not 'brotherly love'

haha GO

Love biologically speaking is neuro-chemicals acting to create bonds between two animals so that they can support their child long enough to survive. The chemical usually associated with love is called phenylethyamine (PEA for short). PEA is associated with fear but it's also associated with weak knees and butterfly in the stomach feeling. The other chemical is oxytocin which promotes bonding.

In a less... scientific understanding love is understand and or appreciating someone.

Oh, for the first time, (and thank you for your short post this time, I skip most of your posts) I agree with 180............well, except the child rearing part.

But romantic love is basically a hormonal thing. Which is why the intensity does wane over time....and also why if the individuals do not have anything more than a hormonal bond, it can dissipate into nothingness.
