May be sometimes difficult to tell the difference between infatuation and love to be. This is especially true at the beginning of a relationship. It's easy charm that you have found true love as the intensity of his life takes. Love, however, rarely comes on suddenly. It is a slow, gradual process that can only occur after the rush of infatuation begins to ebb.

I've just always liked this quote. Don't know too much about the woman who said it but I thinks she nailed it. "Love comes when manipulation stops, when you think more about the other person than about his or her reactions to you. When you dare to reveal yourself fully. When you dare to be vulnerable." Infatuation is the river of emotion without the depth, the intensity and flow of feelings toward another person. Love is the deepness...the resevoir into which infatuation feeds. It's the stillness that allows you room to swim without drowning. |
