In a relationship, in your opinion, what defines the difference between infatuation and real love?

Infatuation is all about what you are getting (or not getting);

Love is all about what you are generating.

May be sometimes difficult to tell the difference between infatuation and love to be. This is especially true at the beginning of a relationship. It's easy charm that you have found true love as the intensity of his life takes. Love, however, rarely comes on suddenly. It is a slow, gradual process that can only occur after the rush of infatuation begins to ebb.

I've just always liked this quote. Don't know too much about the woman who said it but I thinks she nailed it.

Agree with Angela.

To add in my own words... infatuation lasts as long as the illusion lasts. Love sees beyond the illusion.

Love is the deepness...the resevoir into which infatuation feeds. It's the stillness that allows you room to swim without drowning.

a lot of good quotes on here. i've found that infatuation is all about the big moments in your relationship, love is all about the little ones.
