Default Need some input on a community project - especially from the younger members

Hi,

I am based in the UK and do a lot of community related work especially around the provision of Learning.

In the UK we are having problems with the 'Hoodie' culture and the Government has set it as one of its priorities.

Basically 'Hoodies' are young people that like to wear coats and jackets with the hood worn up - a fashion if you like.

The problem is that many older people feel that this threatening as they can't see the persons face. 'Hoodies' are being branded as criminals.

I'm not too concerned about this element but feel that it is unfair for people to be branded or labelled as 'potential criminals'.

The real crux of the problem is that there is nowhere for these people to go in the evening and so they end up walking the streets in large groups, again seen as intimidating for many.

I can access funds for projects that provide learning opportunities for people and wondered if anyone on here could think of how best this could be utilised to provide something for the young to do, and something worthwhile.

Learning can be seen in its widest sense and I'm open to any ideas.

So - over to you?

Thanks in advance for your time and input

Take care
