If you don't know, take a shortened online version here. It was recommended by my psych professor and seems fairly accurate: Online test based on Jung - Myers-Briggs typology |

| *raises hand* "In the last couple of years I have had people say to me "you are just a little scary" so often" I get that quite a bit too. Most of my life energy has long been focused on growing beyond any limitations a person may think they have, and when people are around me I often inadvertently help them stretch themselves quite a bit, showing them things they'd have never known otherwise, both within and without, not consciously even meaning to. Often it's very fun, but still it can be unnerving for non-ENTP's to suddenly have their security blanket of mediocrity whisked away, even if it's replaced with a magic carpet. I generally operate with the sense that virtually no one else sees the world as I do, that when a person is with me, they'll experience things they likely never would otherwise, and thus I'm generally very confident in my interactions, and some very intriguing people are drawn to all of that, at least for a while. Overall I like to play, and the world is a great place for it. It's preferable to leave people with positive experiences, but perhaps even an orgasm can be overwhelming and even scary if one isn't ready for it This is me: ENTP Profile “In terms of their relationships with others, ENTPs are capable of bonding very closely and, initially, suddenly, with their loved ones. Some appear to be deceptively offhand with their nearest and dearest; others are so demonstrative that they succeed in shocking co-workers who've only seen their professional side. ENTPs are also good at acquiring friends who are as clever and entertaining as they are. Aside from those two areas, ENTPs tend to be oblivious of the rest of humanity, except as an audience -- good, bad, or potential.” “ENTPs are nothing if not unique. Brave new associations flow freely from the unconscious into the world of the living. Making, discovering and developing connections between and among two or more of anything is virtually automatic. The product of intuition is merely an icon of process; ENTPs are in the business of change, improvement, experimentation.” ps: the poll software only allows 15 options, and ENTP/ENFP seems like a fine mix to get all 16 types in |

ENFP... and now I know it, I know why some of the things Steve talks doesn't apply to me... and many more and some do. I can't rule my life as being "organized", I have an artistical personality... ENFP... not business like or scientist like. I can't make plans, etc. my success doesn't come that way. "A masterpiece tomorrow at 10 pm..." or so... One very interesting post of Steve is the "From Introvert to Extrovert"... I think I made that journey too... from INFP to ENFP. I'm somewhat ambivert still. Not very extroverted. And that's what prevents me to achieve some things I want, I think. Once I'll become more extroverted... I'll tear down the whole "Wall"... the wall is only in me, not in the world... |

I've just checked Steve post... I think that what you get being Introvert is kind of a "internal success", but there comes a moment in life when you need the success to be out too. Even just to make a living, you know!. I'm still on my journey... |

You should have put ISFP and ENFJ together... Because I'm probably somewhere inbetween them. I have taken the test just twice. First time was somewhere around May 2005 and I got ISFP, second time was late last year and I got ENFJ. At first I was like whoa, what a makeover, only the F is the same, but pretty interesting that I found these two types to be actually very similar. Heck, supposedly they even make a good relationship. |

Split between INFJ and INTP. It's interesting to note that, even though personalities aren't expected to change, every test I've taken throws in some suggestions to "balance" yourself. Amuses me every time. |

I’m an Intp myself... I have found out that the Intp description is less accurate, since I stopped reading about the MBTI in the last 1-2 years. The reason could very well be that I began to identify too much with the description. INTP it is still the personality which describes me best, after looking at it again.

I scored an ENFP. I have a hard time with these tests. Many of the questions seem like some sort of choice to me rather than just a self-observation, as if I could easily choose to be one way or another depending on the situation or my mood. However, reading the profile for ENFP, it doesnt seem too far off. |

That's me. I've gotten this result consistently among many online tests. However, I've never really been interested in mechanics or creating "inventions," which always seems to be a part of the ENTP profile. Though I suppose being inventive is not strictly held to a concrete standard--which is also why the profile fits me.

so I really think the last time that I did this, before the system meltdown, (with another system) I got ENTJ. Which I think was at the end of last semester. Your Type is ESFP Extraverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving Strength of the preferences % 11 12 38 33 It seems that last time (this test) I must have boggled the system by being 0 0 0 0. This time some stuff changed and i've been scooted over a bit. This thing doesn't really tell me much more than I have a social side and my well known priority of personal intuition over much else other than intense study with others I trust. O well, maybe i'll take it in two weeks and see what I get then... I'm hoping for INTJ wait a second... the whole intuition thing was a no... I think I wanna do a more in-depth test... I think I have complicated answers... I'm sure this says something. Last edited by Flyingwithoutwings; 05-04-2007 at 01:38 AM. |

| Full versions are available online, but the rates I'm seeing are $60 to $150+. Also, as I mentioned above, one's type can change a bit when identity is still being formed. For people who are heavily into personal growth the period of identity formation may never end You can read about ESFP and the other types here to see which may describe you best: ESFP Profile |

INFP, consistently for 15 years now - which is probably why I feel more at "home" on Erin's board. I've heard many people say they're working to become an 'E', as if being an 'I' were a bad thing. For me, it just means if I know I'm going to be out in a social situation, or if we're going to have a pile of kids over, I definitely need to schedule some quiet downtime afterwards, so I can re-energize. I think there are some negative connotations with the word "introvert", as if we were never able to socialize or communicate at all! But that's not what it means to me. It just means I get my energy from being alone. I read Please Understand Me about 15 years ago - and it explained SO much! Like, why I sometimes felt so misunderstood - INFPs are only 1% of the population! No wonder my viewpoint wasn't shared by so many. So, now I've come to understand that my viewpoint is important to add to the mix, my voice is important. I haven't explored it much, but Christine Kane swears by the Enneagram. I'm a 4 on that. |
