Default What would you want in a support group?

Describe your ideal support group. What kind of activities would you be interested if you were to join a group? Would you want it to focus on entertainment or on the disorder itself?

I would say a combination, meaning, there should be time for discussion and knowledge sharing and support but a social event on occasion to lighten things up and help people to bond outside of the disorder talk.

Crying and hugging a lot. An odd sexual attraction to the opposite sex members. Outbursts of anger.

And the unwillingness of most of the people to grow or change, hence, a steady collection of friends I don't have to work to keep!

I would be allergic to joining any group of people ready and willing to focus on what is wrong with me rather than what is right.

Focusing on something makes it expand. Therefore, it makes sense to choose one's point of focus wisely.
