Sounds very familiar. Sometimes I think when I'm finally able to not respond to some of MY buttons being pushed by my family, is when I'll find myself in a coma. In the meantime, taking a breather, some time out, often helps a little, too. As does the old "la la la, I'm not listening to you" chant but then that might just push some of their buttons.

Humor is a good alternative, too. Just imagine you are with Frank and Estelle Costanza. I am sure everyone will pale in comparison to those two.

Oh true. Having said that, I'd love to have a George in my life, although I'm sure I'd have to kill him eventually. Not very growth oriented of me, I know.
