OK, everyone, if you've just met a potential lover, or a potential friend. do you get their email address? or phone number? Which is better? Does it matter? (this is more of a discussion than seeking advice) |

Call her! Women like guys who step up to the plate! I'm sure you know what to do, but my personal feeling is not to ask her to the movies. Take her somewhere where you can talk. To a lake, creek, mountain hike, stuff like that is great! If not the nature type, walk the city, look at graffiti. Make graffiti! I think a lunch date, then window shopping is great! I seem to remember you're looking for or bought a house? If you need stuff ask her to come along and help you pick things out. Furniture is fun, towels aren't. Have Fun! |

Ask for both. Let them decide what to write down. I tend to email alot because I'm up at odd hours. If it's someone I don't know, I don't know their sleep schedule. It's really not a big deal either way. |

for casual friends and buddies, I find email, and adding them to facebook is more effective.. (if they have email and facebook of course) But I guess for dating and serious relationships, then going by what everyone's said, phone is better, and possibly email if you work odd hours like funchy. (I work odd hours too) |

ANYTHING but a TEXT seriously, i think a phone call is nicer... first time out...lunch or dinner out, to linger and talk and get to know...you can find out if you were mistaken and if not...creates as subtle romantic, even sensual tension. |

I've just moved into my new home, and it's going well. Yep, theres noone in particular I need to ask for email or phone number, it was just a general discussion of who thinks what is best.. I found in London for buddies that email is a bit better because you can easily jot down upcoming events that you're thinking of going to and its easier to organise than over the phone.. and if they don't reply it doesn't really matter. But with dates, you've got to be verbal eventually so might as well get their phone number, and organise through phone first.. rather than email.. but emails good as well, just not good as a way of hiding from real life interaction, I guess | |
